This dynamic position is based in Colorado Springs, CO.

We are looking for a Hardware Engineer to join our team! In this role, you will learn how to design, configure, troubleshoot, maintain, and document pertinent space ground systems.

In addition, you will be responsible for:

  • Ongoing maintenance.

  • Trouble ticket resolution.

  • Device configuration.

  • Assistance with system/equipment fielding and deployment.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Our work week is 4/10. Evenings and weekends may be required occasionally based on program schedule (installation) or customer outages (troubleshooting). Offsite travel required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Basic hardware Installation experience

  • Experience reading hardware documentation and drawings

  • Must be willing to travel

  • Build Fiber Optic cables and CAT6

This position will work across MITRE, its sponsors, academia, and industry to shape and develop highly impactful security solutions and prototypes. The position also includes fostering transition and wider adoption of solutions, beyond prototype development, to make broad impacts in this space. Candidates should have strong technical backgrounds and research experience in this topic space as well as effective communication and interpersonal skills.</p><p>Responsibilities include:</p><p>This position provides an exciting opportunity to shape the trajectory of the US Government's technical approach to microelectronics supply chain risk mitigation through innovation, partnership, advisory, and applied research. Specific responsibilities include:</p><ul><li><p>Work with MITRE leadership to help set a vision and associated strategy for MITRE's role in microelectronics security specifically for application in supply chain security, IP protection, and securing USG systems</p></li><li><p>Lead and coordinate research and direct work in microelectronics and embedded systems security</p></li><li><p>Engage with a diverse set of stakeholders and researchers from academia, industry, and Government to identify and abstract underlying problems, connecting them with capabilities and technologies that can measurably reduce national security and economic risks surrounding microelectronics systems</p></li><li><p>Plan and maintain supporting capabilities (lab equipment and related infrastructure) in alignment with current and future research and work program needs</p></li><li><p>Participate in talent acquisition and staff development to help build out a world-class team of experts in this space</p></li></ul><p>Required Qualifications:</p><ul><li><p>Ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance</p></li><li><p>B.S.
