Your Impact & Responsibilities

Check Point is looking for an electrical or computer engineering candidate to join its highly skilled team in the development of security appliances that deploy and manage Check Point's comprehensive software security solutions. This individual should be interested in participating in all phases of product development from concept to manufacturing and possess a solid skill set in hardware, embedded firmware/software development.

  • Support senior technical staff with development of System Requirement Specifications for new products

  • Work with external partners to review concept proposals, schematics, layout files, test plans/reports

  • Collaborate with internal Software and Quality Assurance teams to develop appropriate test plans

  • Perform hardware verification testing, system performance, stress & environmental testing

  • Develop low-level software to support the test, debug and integration of complex system designs

  • Develop diagnostic tools & scripts to support hardware verification testing, stress & environmental testing

  • Resolve Complex System Integration issues

  • Provide support in the resolution of field escalations and RFI's.

Your Knowledge & Skills

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Electrical/Electronics or Computer Engineering

  • 1-3 years of related professional experience

  • Must have a fundamental understanding of digital and microprocessor circuit designs

  • Knowledge of networking protocols, embedded processors, and high-speed busses is highly desired.

  • Previous hands-on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, DVMs, analyzers, network traffic generators) is desired

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Highly Motivated and self-driven

  • Experience with development of scripts using shell scripts, Python, C/C++ languages

  • Excellent verbal and technical writing skills

  • Experience in embedded software driver development using C/C++ in a Linux environment is a plus

  • Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship from an employer now or in the future
