Job Description:
The Electrical Engineer uses their knowledge of engineering to design, analyze, and test electrical subsystems for overall system design for current and future products. They also troubleshoot design elements in order to productionize them.
R&D and Design (40%)
Design new eproduct components and subunits
Collaborate in architecting future developments and product enhancements
Refines, and automates (where possible) testing and validation processes
Troubleshooting (35%)
Tier 3 troubleshooting of RMAs and Production Issues
Testing of hardware, fixing reliability issues, developing standard fixes, conducting field investigations, and mitigating field failures
Developing standard fixes, responding to customer's questions, analyzing field failures, testing hardware, troubleshooting escalations and fixing reliability issues
Supporting production, and providing guidance and direction to ensure production team delivers high quality products
Product Sustainability (25%)
Monitoring current products coupled with staying abreast of new engineering developments to sustain and even improve performance and cost
Developing standard fixes for legacy products and architecting future enhancements

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
BS or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
2-5 years' experience in similar role
Experience in designing and testing electrical subsystems and system integration
Experience in technologies (as applicable)
Hardware design including circuits for: embedded DC/DC power supplies, digital and analog inputs/outputs, embedded microcontroller interfaces, serial communications protocols, and modems
Printed circuit board assembly and layout design
BOM ownership
Wiring harnesses, cabling, and electronics packaging
Basic proficiency at programming languages (preferred) such as C, C++, C#
Electronic Design Automation Tool Experience: Altium Designer (preferred), Cadence OrCAD, Mentor Graphics, KiCAD
