Hardware Engineer

Description:

Targeting ideally 1-5 years of experience.

• Develop test fixtures to support manufacturing and engineering

• Troubleshoot at various product levels (board, wire harness, product, systems, etc.)

• PCB schematic design and board layout in Altium

• PCB prototype assembly or modification, including thru-sole and surface mount rework

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

MUST HAVE:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology

• 1+ year of relevant electronics experience from internships, co-ops, or professional

• PCB schematic design and board layout

• Test fixture design

• Proficient in reading and understanding schematics and board layouts

• Power supplies, multi-meters, electronic loads, oscilloscopes

PLUS:

• Robotics

• Motors and controllers (brushed, brushless, quadrature encoders, etc.)

• Power regulation and components (linear, switching, BJT vs FET)

• Analog circuitry (buffering, filtering, single vs. differential signaling)

• Digital circuitry (logic, microcontrollers, bus topologies)

• RS-485, RS-232, RS-422, UART, I2C

• Ethernet, USB protocols
