Responsible for building up cases of finished product by hand and preparing it for cold storage. Builds up cases according to production demands. Assures that the finished product also meets company standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Promotes and adheres to company safe work rules and regulations.
Stacks boxes by hand according to production demands
Inspects and rejects boxes that do not meet company standards.
Monitors work area and related equipment
Operates and understands the function of a forklift and related equipment.
Maintains palletizing materials as needed.
Performs other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Attends and participates in all annual, required, and job specific required training and monthly informational meetings.
Communicates problems or changes in department to supervisor and appropriate personnel.
Understands and adheres to the concepts and techniques of the quality process in order to ensure a quality operation.
Keeps area clean and orderly in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's).
Helps to build and promote a strong "Teamwork" environment in each individual work group, the Factory, and the Company.
Participates in continuous improvement process.
Must adhere to the McCain Code of Conduct.
The employee may be required to successfully complete the orientation and training provided during the first ninety- (90) days of employment.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Requires less than a high school education or up to one month related experience or training; may accept an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Mechanical (potential for injury due to moving forklift, wrapping machine, conveyor belt, and boxcar floor.)
Fumes, odors, box fiber dust
Wet or slippery surfaces
Noise (ear protective devices required)

Inside temperature: 10-32 degrees F.
Knife (cutting bands on caser bundles.)
