Conveniently located near downtown Grand Rapids, the rehab and nursing center on Fuller Avenue has easy on and off access to I-196 and bus lines. A main floor courtyard provides outdoor space for rest and renewal. Most patient rooms are semi-private, with attached bathrooms, television with cable, phone, and window views to the outdoors.

Scope of work

Responsible for cutting and styling hair consistent with resident's requests. Wash, rinse, and dry resident's hair using appropriate shampoos, conditioners, and other necessary hair products. Maintains cleanliness in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and ensures work area is clean and equipment is always sterilized. Coordinate and schedule appointments for residents. Communicate with residents to ensure satisfaction of services. Promotes a friendly and positive atmosphere in the delivery of services.

Qualifications

• Required High School Diploma or equivalent

• 1 year of relevant experience barber or hair stylist experience required

• 1 year of relevant experience barber in long-term care setting preferred

• State of Michigan Cosmetologist License Required
