Job Title: Guidewire Cloud Release Engineer

Work Location: Hoboken, NJ (Hybrid

• Onsite)

Technical Skills (Primary

• Must have):

• One end to end project experience in defining, implementing, and supporting Guidewire Cloud implementation

Technical Skills (Secondary

• Nice to have not mandatory):

• Basic understanding of Azure Cloud

• Basic understanding of SQL scripts

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for defining, managing, and implementing release processes for code through development, test, and production environments.

• Define branching strategy and implement the same with maximum utilization of environments available.

• Work collaboratively with all participants in Guidewire cloud implementation projects and will be supportive of developers and testers as they set up their build dev/test environments.

• Manage, plan, and coordinate all software releases for Guidewire Cloud applications.

• Automate the build and deployment process through build systems, striving for continuous integration and delivery.

• Ensure that the integrity of live environment is protected and that the correct components are released.

• Creating and configuring new environments. Managing existing environments.

• Develop CI/CD pipelines based on Jenkins, using tools like Java, Gradle, SVN/Git.

• Identify opportunities for automating manual repetitive tasks.

• Responsible for maximizing system uptime and availability.

• Responsible for maintaining and reviewing release checklist prior to every release.

• Troubleshoot release and build failures, providing timely resolutions.

• Collaborate with QA, development, and operational teams to ensure smooth and reliable delivery of software updates.

• Maintain documentation regarding versioning and version control.

• Co-ordinate for Guidewire Updates for new cloud releases

Qualifications:

• Hands on experience in defining, implementing, and supporting Guidewire Cloud implementation strategy

• Must have good experience with creating Build and Deploy pipelines in Jenkins.

• Must have good experience in working with PowerShell/Batch/Shell scripting to automate tasks and execute scripts remotely on servers.

• Must have experience in managing Windows servers.

• Must understand networking

• Ports, Protocols, Inbound/Outbound rules etc.

• Proven experience as a Release Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or in a similar role in software development.

• Strong knowledge of Guidewire Cloud solutions and services.

• Experience with continuous integration, delivery, and deployment tools.

• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git), software builds tools (e.g., Maven), and CI/CD platforms (e.g., Jenkins).

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
