All applicants must obtain and provide a credential or permit issued by the CTC before an application will be considered. For information on credentialing, please visit the CTC website at www.ctc.ca.gov Applicants must attach the following to their application:

  • Copy of College Transcript that confers your Bachelor's Degree

  • Copy of Valid California Teaching Credential or Substitute Permit

  • Letters of Recommendation (2) no older than 2 years *Only electronic, online applications are accepted. All REQUIRED materials must also be in electronic formats and attached to the electronic, online application when applying.

DISTRICT WIDE GUEST TEACHER DAILY RATE INFORMATION: Standard 30 Day Emergency Substitute Permit $140 Daily $160 Long Term (See Training Opportunity Below) Credentialed Guest Teacher $160 Daily $180 Long Term Increased Trained Teacher Rate:

We are also increasing the rate of our "Trained Teachers" to be equivalent to our credentialed guest teachers, which will be $160 (daily) and $180 (long term). We will be offering a guest teacher training opportunity that will allow all guest teachers who hold a Standard 30 Day Emergency Permit to move to this higher rate. Long-Term Rates: In addition, guest teachers can earn the long-term rate beginning the first day if we know the teacher will be out for an extended period of time. For those long-term assignments that are day-to-day, guest teachers will begin earning the long-term rate after the tenth day, rather than after the twentieth day.
