We are seeking a friendly, positive, service-oriented, highly energetic and self-motivated Guest Services Representative to join our team. The Guest Services Representative will work closely with the entire Front Office team and all hotel departments. This position will be responsible for enhancing the guest experience, ensuring customer loyalty, and guarantying satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for customer service, high attention to details and friendly disposition with every guest interaction.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.

  • Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written; must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.

  • Must be able to respond to guest requests and business volume quickly and efficiently.

  • Individuals in this role must be comfortable making conversation with a diverse clientele base and must be able to professionally describe the hotel and its amenities as the guest is checking in or asks about a guest's stay as they check out.

  • General knowledge of the city where hotel is located and its attractions. Extensive knowledge of the hotel, its services and facilities.

  • Professional demeanor - service oriented; demonstrate ability to multi-task, manage time and work well under pressure. Maintain high level of guest satisfaction is an absolute requirement for this position.

  • Requires writing, standing (for long periods of time), walking, repetitive motions, bending, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.

  • Must be able to work mornings, afternoons, evening weekends/weekdays, holidays and rotating shifts.

  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

  • Bi-lingual is a plus.

Who Were Looking For: GUEST SERVICES AGENT FOR STAYPINEAPPLE CHICAGO Were about the friendliest company youll ever come acrossand we need someone to be the face of this as soon as a guest steps into our hotel. Are you happy, outgoing and wear a perma-smile? Then this could be the job for you. In addition to generally spreading joy, youll be ensuring guests are receiving great customer service from the time they exit their cab to entering their room and everything in between. What You Bring: A lot goes into creating a perfect hotel stay, and youll play a huge role in this. We are looking to you to OWN the entire lobby areamaking sure guest receive a warm welcome, assistance with their luggage, an expedited check in process, and assistance with all their needs during their stay in New York.Here are a few of the other tasks that will keep you busy on a daily basis: * Completing daily front desk duties including check-ins/outs, room scheduling, room moves, late checkouts, stay-overs and rates and types of available rooms as well as other requests from guests. * Assist arriving and departing guests with their luggage to and from guest rooms. * Act as a point of reference for guests that require assistance or information and attend to their wishes and requirements. This includes their transportation needs. * Acquiring and sharing knowledge of the hotel as well as the surrounding areas, venues and attractions. * Take room service orders, and deliver them to guest rooms. * Service the lobby coffee cart, take orders, make drinks. Where Youve Been: Were looking for someone with a High School diploma (or equivalent) and preferably three to six months of related experience. But most importantly you must be a people-person! You will need to interact with all hotel guests and team members in a polite and positive way at all times, fulfilling requests (even dumb ones) in a timely manner. If you don't work well under pressure, this wont be a great fit. A working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office as well as Opera PMS is preferred. When Youre Here: Be prepared to do a wide variety of task that will ensure an outstanding guest experience. You wont be standing behind a desk, you will greet guests as they enter the hotel while assisting them with their luggage, checking them in, and assisting them to their room. So be prepared to move around because more than half of the time you will be standing/sitting, carrying/lifting up to 50 pounds, walking, bending/twisting, climbing stairs and more. You also must be able to accommodate varying schedules including nights, weekends and holidays.
