Were about the friendliest company youll ever come acrossand we need someone to be the face of this at our front desk. Are you happy, outgoing and wear a perma-smile?
Then this could be the job for you. In addition to generally spreading joy, youll be making sure all guests receive excellent service from check-in to check-out.
What You Bring:
A lot goes into creating a perfect hotel stay, and youll play a huge role in this. We are looking to you to OWN the front desk areamaking sure the lobby is clean, orderly and welcoming. Here are a few of the other tasks that will keep you busy on a daily basis:
Completing daily front desk duties including check-ins/outs, room scheduling, room moves, late checkouts, stay-overs and other requests from guests.
Completing group pre-registrations and blocking room reservations, as well as pre-registering VIPs.
Maintaining knowledge of current hotel rates, sales strategies, current special rates and types and locations of available rooms.
Acquiring and sharing knowledge of the hotel as well as the surrounding areas, venues and attractions.
Where Youve Been:
Were looking for someone with a High School diploma (or equivalent) and preferably three to six months of related experience. But most importantly you must be a people-person!
You will need to interact with all hotel guests and team members in a polite and positive way at all times, fulfilling requests (even dumb ones) in a timely manner. If you don't work well under pressure, this wont be a great fit. A working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office as well as Opera PMS is preferred.
When Youre Here:
Sometimes youll be behind the deskbut also be prepared to move around because more than half of the time you will be standing/sitting, carrying/lifting up to 50 pounds, walking, bending/twisting, climbing stairs and more. You also must be able to accommodate varying schedules including nights, weekends and holidays.
