Essential Job Function:

Shift Leader is responsible for supervision of store operations and personnel in the absence of the store manager and assistant manager. The Shift Leader will ensure company policies and procedures are followed; while delivering a high level of customer service, store safety and appearance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure a quality buying experience for all customers

  • Make daily bank deposits by noon

  • Review end of day reports and assist in preparation of daily paperwork banking functions as assigned by manager

  • Coach and direct employees to provide excellent customer service

  • Maintain an awareness of cleanliness both inside and outside of the store

  • Light equipment and yard maintenance

  • Order and receive merchandise utilizing inventory ordering guidelines

  • Implement all Company promotional initiatives

  • Maintaining cash and inventory control during all supervised shifts

  • Pricebook maintenance

  • Ordering merchandise

  • Audit cashier paperwork for accuracy

  • Report all environment, maintenance issues and unusual occurrences to the proper authority as well as management personnel

  • Ability to communicate with associates and guests

  • Ability to count, read and write accurately to complete required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Ability to work unsupervised

  • Flexibility to work weekend, holiday and/or evening shifts

  • Must have reliable transportation and valid driver's license

  • Ability to communicate with associates and guests

  • Must attend mandatory meetings (i.e. T.A.M., sexual harassment)

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent bending, reaching, lifting of 1 to 15 lbs

  • Be able to lift up to 50 lbs on occasion

  • Reaching above shoulder height and bending below waist

  • Be able to freely access all areas of the store

  • Move quickly around store

Job Summary Responsible for managing both tire bay and fuel operations at the club level, managing tire sales and gas sales, ensuring proper installation and repairs of tires, supervising tire bay and gas station team members, and maintaining tire bay and gas station policies and procedures. Ensures both tire bay and gas station team members work in a safe environment and are following all tire bay and gas station policies and procedures. * Ensures proper scheduling and staffing within areas of responsibility. * Responsible for the proper installation of tires, including mounting, dismounting, rotating, and balancing tires. * Installs, sells, and repairs tires. Responsible for properly disposing of tires and ensuring propane tanks are filled per club policy. * Maintains and orders tire installation equipment. Responsible for the safe and proper operation of tire bay equipment. * Maintains a clean and professional tire bay and waiting area. Merchandise tire displays and automotive products. * Ensures that knowledgeable service is provided to members at the tire desk. Coordinates with Home Office regarding member tire needs as needed. * Maintains an accurate and complete supply inventory. Understands and appropriately utilizes available special-order tire programs. * Responsible for monitoring gas station sales transactions and handling cash transactions when applicable. * Monitors gas station reporting and ensures checklists, reports and documentation are properly maintained, validated, and approved based on company policy and state regulations. * Manages fuel maintenance work orders including verification of issues, work order creation, documentation and reporting, approvals. * Complies with safety and cleanliness standards. Manages tire bay audits, and checklists. * Responsible for overseeing tire bay records retention policies and procedures. * Responsible for ensuring all TIA Certifications, Titan Certifications are completed timely and on file for all tire bay and gas station team members. Reference LED to follow up on all additional trainings required for tire bay and gas station team members. * Build working relationships with tire bay and gas station team members. Motivate and empower each team member to see their own potential and to grow within the company. * Complete and administer performance appraisals with each tire bay and gas station team member. Provide clear, constructive communication. * Maintains all club policies and procedures. * Performs other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed * Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of this job. Qualifications * At least 18 years of age. * High School diploma and/or college degree preferred. * Valid driver's license and ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles required. * Strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills and attention to detail required. * Basic computer skills required. * Knowledge of tires, batteries, propane tanks, and tire bay equipment required. * Prior tire installation and sales experience preferred; Level 400 certified technician preferred. * Must pass Michelin training levels one through four within three months of hire. * Ability to lift over 30 pounds with assistance. * Demonstrates leadership capabilities, including managing/supervising cross-functional teams, training team members, and driving and communicating results. * Strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills and attention to detail required. * Open availability required. Environmental Job Conditions * Exposure to both indoor and outdoor temperatures and weather conditions. * Most of the time is spent standing and moving about continuously on hard surfaces. Frequent need to bend, climb, crawl, kneel, push, pull, reach, move side to side, stoop, and climb ladders/step stools. * Frequently requires lifting objects up to 30 pounds. May require lifting and moving heavy and/or awkward objects more than 30 pounds with assistance. * Usually perform job surrounded by moving cars, machinery and/or loud equipment that may require shouting in order to be heard.
