Job Description:

Guest Service Representative consistently delivers outstanding customer service to each guest every time ensuring that the highest standards are upheld and guest expectations are exceeded through the check-in/check-out process, in person throughout their stay and in telephone communications. Guest Service Representatives respond to guests requests with a sense of urgency and concern. Guest Service Representative is the communication and information center for guests, fellow employees, vendors, and other outside business representatives. They perform a variety of clerical duties including basic computer work, reception and simple accounting tasks. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards.

Job Requirements:

  • Complete all required brand specific training

  • Complete all required Vision University training

  • Complete all required health and safety training

  • Adhere to all Vision Hospitality Group, Inc. and property specific brand standards

  • Perform any other duties as requested by management to aid in better operation of the hotel and service to the guests

  • Provide personalized, friendly service to every guest and associate

  • Have knowledge of all hotel systems including PBX phone system, key card system, PMS reservation systems, and general office machines

  • Complete all tasks described on the relevant shift check list during shift

  • Have knowledge of fire alarm system and Emergency/evacuation procedures

  • Check the credit of guest accounts daily and follow up if action is required

  • Have knowledge of surrounding area

  • Be responsible for security of guests, fellow employees, and hotel assets

  • Keep cash drawer secure and in balance throughout the shift

  • Communicate with housekeeping department in order to ensure an ample supply of clean rooms

  • Sell and up-sell rooms to walk-ins and phone reservations

  • Have general knowledge of housekeeping, bed making, vacuuming, etc.

  • Strive for the consistent goal of 100% occupancy and 100% guest satisfaction

  • Have professional telephone & communication skills

  • Have patience and understanding for every person encountered

  • Keep the business functions of the company including, but not limited to financial status, customer/guest information, employee issues, etc. confidential

Necessary Skills:

  • Keep confidential the business functions of the company including, but not limited to, financial status, customer/guest information, employee issues, etc.

  • Must be responsible for security of guests, fellow employees and hotel assets

  • Have knowledge of fire alarm system and evacuation procedures

  • Have dependable transportation available

  • Able to communicate effectively in writing, by telephone and in person.

  • Able to work a flexible schedule

  • Is organized, honest, work well with others, and have an outgoing personality

  • Maintain a clean and attractive work area, uniform, and person

Physical Requirements:

  • Be able to bend, reach, kneel, push, and stretch and lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds

  • Can stand/walk on feet for 8 hours and work in a restrictive space/environment.

  • Must have eyesight enabling vision both near and far

  • Must be comfortable using a step stool or ladder

  • Must be able to use/lift arms for up to 8 hours

  • Must be able to handle heat and stress

  • Have finger dexterity for operating equipment

  • Must speak in a clear, understandable voice, hear at a basic level, and understand English

Tasks could include reconciling bank statements, updating account information and assisting with other inquiries or questions. Customer Service Reps are in many instances the first contact our merchants and or clients have with the company, so accuracy, timeliness, and First Call Resolution are paramount for a successful position holder. Must be the embodiment of customer service and be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This person will have a professional attitude always and must be able to communicate on a professional level that the caller feels comfortable with. This position will require a solid attendance record. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: * Answer inbound customer service calls as well as answer customer emails or requests from other departments * Schedule calls with merchants and review their merchant accounts (no selling) * Complete outbound project campaigns to our clients * Effectively take and resolve issues received from clients * Escalates customer issues requiring extensive problem solving * Communicates customer impacting trends and/or ideas for improvement to manager * Document issues accurately in established databases * Exude maximum level customer service * Liaise with other departments to identify issues, solve problems or share communication * Continuously seek to opportunities to build knowledge base * Cross train in different areas of the business MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE): * 1+ year in customer service or call center or related experience * High school diploma or GED equivalent * Ability to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook) * Ability to learn and apply general knowledge of the company, products and services * Ability to read, comprehend and adhere to instructions, processes and procedures * Accuracy and attention to detail * Basic Mathematical skills to calculate (add, subtract, multiply and divide) * Ability to work independently under general supervision and accept feed back I3 Verticals, Inc.
