Job Description

Role Mission

The Retail Training Project Specialist is responsible for ensuring seamless coordination, organization and execution of training events and activities. Supports Gucci America and Worldwide special projects and assists in managing communication and execution in stores. Acts as point of communication between NY corporate office and field (including In-Store Training Ambassadors). Demonstrates a high level of organizational and communication skills and a desire for future development within the Training Department.

Key Accountabilities

  • Oversees all logistics for training events;

  • Communication between field and corporate office;

  • Manage booking of meeting spaces, securing additional as needed;

  • Manages food and beverage and catering, including delivery and set up;

  • Communicates agenda and timing to attendees and presenters;

  • Confirms and books audio/visual and presentation tools needed;

  • Communicates and organizes with all necessary vendors and cross-functional partners;

  • Creates timeline and follow-up for timely execution;

  • Manages event within budget;

  • Provide communication to participants as required by event (pre and post event);

  • Manages orchestration of logistics for Gucci America hosted Store Manager Meeting: communicating with vendors, managing communication and execution with cross-functional partners, ordering food and beverage and audio visual with hotel and vendors, and coordinating attendee travel/hotel booking;

  • Manages communication with accounts payable for vendor payment and updates training budget after events;

  • Responsible for maintaining and updating training calendar for Gucci America Retail and Worldwide;

  • Creates posts and content for Gucci To Go Training App, communicating with relevant Worldwide and Gucci America partners;

  • Creates PowerPoint decks for training initiatives, partnering with Regional Training Managers for content as needed;

  • Maintain and collate training analytics and reporting;

  • Maintains back-end local usage for Learning Management System; assisting stores as needed;

  • Assists in supporting corporate communication to retail teams for training initiatives;

  • Offer general administrative assistance and support for team as needed.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred;

  • Minimum 2 years administrative or project management experience;

  • 2 years retail experience (Sales or Management);

  • Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail;

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral;

  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment;

  • Computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint required.

A global Luxury group, Kering manages the development of a series of renowned Houses in Fashion, Leather Goods, Jewelry and Watches. Job Description Role Mission The project manager is responsible for the development of freestanding stores in the United States and Canada, working closely with the regional and worldwide store planning team, Gucci and Kering departments, consultants and contractors in the renovation of existing or development of new stores from project initiation to opening. Responsibilities also include coordinating store layout improvements rollouts consisting of store configurations and/or upgrades of existing stores. For each project, the PM will oversee project budgets, schedules and project design. They will liaise with departmental directors (Operations, Visual, etc.) and consulting teams to ensure the program requirements are incorporated into the project and critical timelines and project information are communicated. He/she will oversee the construction and completion of each location to ensure standards of quality are met in a timely and cost effective manner. Key Accountabilities * Work closely with the Director of Store Planning and possible design architect in the design development of new store locations; * Develop and maintain relationships with tenant coordinators and mall managers in all applicable forms and locations; * Coordinate transition of design documents into documents for bid/landlord review/permit with architect of record and review all architectural documents and drawings with Director of Store Planning; * Coordinate requirements for security, telephone, and data with departments; * Obtain approvals from landlord for preliminary and working drawing reviews; * Develop requests for bids as applicable for GC scope; * Develop requests for owner vendor items, such as millwork, specialty lighting, etc.; * Review bid proposals and coordinate cost and schedules with vendors and contractors; * Maintain schedules; * Develop and maintain cost summary of all project costs, including the review and approvals of invoices and logging of such into cost summary; * Make periodic site visits before and/or during construction of store to ensure standards and design are met; * Attend weekly site meetings (on site or phone) throughout project to ensure schedule and design standard are met; * Coordinate with GC and local department of buildings for all required certificates and inspections; * Coordinate with operations and Director of Store Planning for store openings, providing assistance on site during this transition; * Develop punch list and verify all items are corrected in timely manner; * Request and obtain letters of lien waivers and comply with landlords' close out procedures; * Develop and issue maintenance manual for store managers. Key Requirements * 7 – 10 years' experience; * Luxury retail experience required; * University degree, BA, MA in Architecture or Interior Design preferred; * Must have good budgeting and general math skills; * Attention to detail and able to meet tight deadlines; * Must have a good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint and basic functions of AutoCAD; * Good understanding of design drawings and project documentation; * Knowledge of standard quality means and materials in construction and millwork; * Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills; * Excellent organizational and focusing abilities a must; * Frequent travel required.
