The Cardiovascular & Specialty Solutions (CSS) Group, part of the Medical Devices sector within Johnson & Johnson, is recruiting for a GSM Product Director, aligned to Acclarent, located in Irvine, CA. This position may require up to 40% travel, including some weekends.
The CSS Group consists of four diverse businesses including Acclarent, Biosense Webster (BWI), Cerenovus, and Mentor. The CSS Group serves a diverse base of customers in Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT), Electrophysiology (EP), Surgical and Non-Surgical Aesthetics, and Neurovascular.
The GSM Product Director reports directly to the Head of Marketing at Acclarent. You will plan and coordinate critical processes related to business planning, strategic marketing plans, portfolio management and development, market research, new product launches, business performance tracking, and multi-channel marketing.
Assigns and reviews customer and competitor analyses in the areas of product preferences, potentials, sales coverage, market size, penetration, marketing practices and trends, and prepares forecasts and recommendations.
Provides tactical support and ensures in-depth research for brands in development, and seeks to identify opportunities with regional partners, customers, Johnson and Johnson brands, and alliances.
Manages key relationships with agencies and suppliers in developing product concept designs and mockups for market research and management presentations; plans and monitors the execution of market research studies.
Explores opportunities and prepares recommendations for global branding, positioning, and pricing strategies that deliver value.
Analyzes and interprets complex market access data and feasibility research.
Ensures the implementation and maintenance of key marketing vehicles that may include eBusiness strategy, promotional media, services, forecasting, pricing, and business plans.
A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree is required
A Master's Degree (MBA) preferred.
A minimum of 6 years of overall business experience is required.
A minimum of 3 years of marketing experience is required.
A minimum of 3 years of medical device marketing experience is strongly preferred.
A minimum of 5 years of ENT industry or closely related experience is strongly preferred.
Sales, clinical or operations experience is preferred. Experience in more than one of these functions is preferred.
Documented success in developing strategies and executing tactical plans in driving new products or programs is required
Ability to learn complex technology/clinical applications is required.
Strong presentation skills are required.
Experience in developing and implementing yearly business plans which include defining of goals, strategies and tactics is required.
Proven track record of sales, marketing or technical success with strong analytical skills (Functional knowledge with Microsoft Office, financial analysis and database exposure) are required.
Should be strategic-minded with excellent collaboration skills, problem-solving and decision-making skills, and verbal and written communication skills.
Experience in managing partnerships or co-promotions is preferred
Selling skills with formal Selling skills training preferred.
Statistical analysis experience is preferred.
This position may require up to 40% domestic or international travel, including some weekends.
