The Global Services Department purpose is to help others come unto Christ by serving members, leaders, and employees globally in a simple and efficient way. The GSD Strategic Planning and Project Manager position will help the department to accomplish its purpose. In addition, the person in this position will be responsible for the strategic planning process for the Global Services Department as well as managing significant projects and initiatives that comes from that planning process. This position will have significant ownership of the 5 year plan and projects and will work closely with the senior management of the department. This planning and projects range from early-stage diagnostic and strategy development to wide scale testing and implementation. Analyzes of internal data to identify organizational weaknesses and subsequently formulates solutions to address them. Works with organization leadership to improve business strategies and results.

  • MBA preferred or a Bachelor's degree in business or related field, preferably with a Strategy emphasis.

  • 7 years of strategy/management consulting experience. Experience in a strategy consulting role at a top tier management consulting firm, or an internal strategy group in a Fortune 500 company is preferred.

  • Experience leading projects or managing others, when functioning as the team lead.

  • Professional business operations experience preferred.

  • Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Able to influence strategic thinking, identify trends, and analyze data to impact recommendations.

  • Comfortable with ambiguous and complex situations and an ability to provide logical and coherent potential solutions.

  • Advanced ability to communicate effectively in a way that builds and improves relationships both orally and in writing.

  • Must have excellent presentation skills and abilities.

  • Capable of performing detailed, technical data analysis.

  • Ability to appropriately handle sensitive data and documents.

  • Ability to work autonomously.

  • Highly skilled in the use of standard desktop software such as MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (programming ability a plus).

  • Works closely with department leadership council on strategy, planning and significant projects. Identifies essential work in the organization and how to provide those services in the most simple and affordable way

  • Lead the planning and strategy process that may require working with other departments planning processes that the GSD support

  • Works cooperatively with team members, directors and the managing director. Provides guidance and direction on initiative planning, process owner relationship management.

  • Primary responsibility will be typical of a strategic engagement: identifying opportunities through data driven analysis, and research, collaborating with senior leaders, determining highest impact changes, presenting finding to department leadership council and implementing solutions

  • Strategic planning is critical, which includes a 1 to 5 year plan, working with all of the department process owners, resulting in initiatives and projects for the betterment of the department.

  • Lead change management including orientation, building capability of the department and teams, setting up the projects to lead to lasting long-term change and performance improvement.

  • Works as a collaborative thought partner, clarifying ambiguity, and taking initiative are also critical components of this role.

  • Performs work with a high degree of latitude. Handles the most complex issues. Possesses expert knowledge of subject matter.

  • Strategy with contact center and backend processing.
