Global Portfolio Solutions (GPS) is a multi-asset class investing group that sits within the Investment Management Division at Goldman Sachs. It designs and develops comprehensive investment management solutions customized to meet the investment objectives and relevant constraints of clients. These solutions bring together state-of-the-art techniques for multi-asset portfolio design and implementation and reflect proprietary research and analytics conducted by the GPS team. With investment professionals across the globe, GPS invests or advises on assets for some of the world's leading corporations, sovereign wealth funds, pension plans, governments, financial institutions, endowments, foundations, and family offices.



The successful candidate would become a member of the Portfolio Management Team within Global Portfolio Solutions (GPS), responsible for the design, management, and communication of multi-asset class portfolios. This role is client-facing and highly analytical, focusing on developing, investing, managing and communicating customized portfolio solutions for clients. Core responsibilities include:

  • Portfolio management with daily supervision of complex client portfolios involving areas such as strategic and implementation issues, asset allocation, investment manager / vehicle selection and oversight, risk/performance management and evaluation, and research on investment management products.

  • Assist in client relationship management involving portfolio and manager review, managing client investment needs and proposing new strategies aimed at enhancing portfolio characteristics.

  • Support in content development involving client and prospect presentation books, request for proposals, and other investment-related analyses.

Other required skills/experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Excellent writing and communication skills

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

  • Detail oriented and meticulous, strong quantitative and analytical skills

  • Intelligent, creative, with good problem-solving abilities

  • A self-starter able to work independently and thrive in a team environment

  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint

  • Strong interest in the financial markets and a good investment sense/commercial instinct

  • Experience working with corporate pensions or a background in multi-asset class investing / Outsourced Chief Investment Officer preferred

Investment Solutions provides Wealth Management clients with investment management solutions across all major asset classes including equities, fixed income, alternatives, multi-asset and money market funds. Within Investment Solutions, Managed Solutions & Strategy (MSS) manages discretionary investment strategies and performs manager due diligence for clients across J.P. Morgan Wealth Management (WM) and Chase Wealth Management (CWM). Discretionary investment offerings include multi-asset, single asset class and alternative strategies offered through individual accounts and private and registered funds. The Global Portfolio Specialist team is responsible for articulating investment process, market views, performance, and positioning of discretionary portfolios, primarily those managed by the Private Bank CIO team, to Clients and Advisors. Specialists are an integral member of the Advisor team and serve as a go to partner for Core discretionary portfolios to educate, deepen relationships, prepare for & participate in meetings & drive flows. Wealth Management Investment Solutions Business Management works with Asset Class Leaders and Investment Team Leaders to manage and execute initiatives across the Private Bank. Job Description: The individual in this role will execute initiatives across Managed Solutions & Strategy (MSS), focusing on the continued success and innovation of the business. Initiatives will relate to diverse subject matter, including idea generation, product development, portfolio management and portfolio management systems, sales management and the investment control agenda. Success will require working collaboratively with senior stakeholders across the business and control functions with a critical eye for problem solving. Responsibilities will inevitably extend from areas mentioned into others.
