The Role of Group Sales Manager:

Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Group Sales Manager promotes and sells to group market in defined geographic region. This role generates hotel awareness through direct phone sales, direct sales calls, tradeshows and networking groups while working closely with the Sales and Marketing team to solicit, sell and confirm the group business required to meet budgeted sales goals. The ideal candidate should possess the ability to solicit group travel. This position requires a high degree of independent judgement and discretion on decision making.

Skill Requirements:

  • Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.

  • Good personal & professional references.

  • Working computer skills and knowledge including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Delphi, Internet and Opera.

  • College Degree - 4 years, or equivalent experience

  • Luxury hotel Sales preferred (minimum of 10 years). Proven sales track record a plus.

  • Candidate to be located locally or remotely in Midwest or Southeast.

Travel:

  • Varies but approximately 10%.
