Group Sales Account Executive and Event Manager

Department: Ticket Sales

Supervisor: Sr. Manager, Group Sales

Principal Role:

The Celtics are seeking a passionate, collaborative, and organized individual to join our Group Sales team. The Group Sales Account Executive and Event Manager will be directly responsible for selling group tickets as well as planning and executing department-wide group sales events, assisting with group sales marketing, and acting as a liaison with other internal departments. The individual will maintain a group sales book of business, including servicing and renewing existing group accounts, with a focus on schools, community groups and special interest organizations, as well as the college and corporate communities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Actively sell group tickets and group assets, such as High Five Tunnels and Anthem Buddies

  • Achieve sales goals including revenue objectives and productivity metrics as assigned by the company

  • Handle day-to-day communications with the individual's clients, maintaining accurate and detailed records of all current accounts and prospects in CRM and Archtics

  • Follow up with the individual's clients regarding customer service, and establish longstanding relationships resulting in annual programming

  • Coordinate department-wide game-day schedule, including assigning staff responsibilities and execution of Fan Experiences and hospitality events

  • Handle Box Office and/or Customer Service duties on game nights

  • Manage inventory of giveaway items and work with external vendors for ordering and fulfillment

  • Act as a liaison to various other internal departments, including Business Operations for group offers and invoicing, Finance for all purchase orders, Marketing for all group sales collateral, and Live Events for all in-game theme night elements

  • Responsible for the fulfillment of any group leader gifts, events or incentives

  • Maintain detailed records of waivers required for all on-court Fan Experiences

  • Assist with delegating tasks to the Ticket Sales Intern

  • Organize campaigns or initiatives for non-game events, including but not limited to the Open Practice and team practice facility

  • Other responsibilities as assigned by Vice President of Ticket Sales and CMO

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 3+ years prior experience in ticket sales, marketing, and/or event planning

  • Excellent time management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills

  • Exceptional customer service skills and proven ability to problem-solve

  • Strong computer skills, plus experience in ticket inventory software preferred

  • High energy, positive attitude, and ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with others

  • Team player, committed to achieving both personal and overall goals and objectives of the department

  • Ability to work long/flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
