Job Summary

Process all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or mail. Identify guest reservation needs, determine appropriate room type, and verify availability of room type and rate.

Explain guarantee, special rate, and cancellation policies to callers. Accommodate and document special requests. Answer questions about property facilities/services and room accommodations.

Follow sales techniques to maximize revenue. Communicate information regarding designated VIP reservations. Input and access data in reservation system.

Respond to any challenges found for accommodating rooming requests by communicating with appropriate individual or department. Oversee accuracy of room blocks and reservations. Input group rooming lists using reservation systems, revise room blocks to maintain the required number of available rooms, and keep organized files of all groups. Set-up proper billing accounts according to Accounting policies.

Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests' service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation.

Speak with others using clear and professional language; prepare and review written documents accurately and completely; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.

Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

ISI has three research campuses: one in Marina Del Rey, CA; one in Arlington, VA; and one in Waltham, MA. * This position is located in Marina del Rey, CA* Information Sciences Institute (ISI), part of the Viterbi School of Engineering at USC, seeks a Production Coordinator - Quality Assurance for a position in their MOSIS (Metal Oxide Semiconductor Implementation Service) division. JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES * Manage all aspects of MOSIS Production Quality Assurance successfully performing all primary activities including providing daily quality assurance to operations, reviewing all order and shipment processing records and associated documents. Identify areas for improvements to mitigate recurring non-conformances and drive continuous improvement. * Revise existing procedures, write and implement new procedures. * Participate and support internal and external audits. * Provide back up to Order Processing, Packaging and Production Technician positions. * Organize and expedite flow of work through department. Initiate follow-up action. Serve as a resource in resolution of problems or issues. Interact with and facilitates communication between customers and MOSIS engineers. * Compose and produce a variety of business correspondence, reports, confidential documents and/or forms, and related materials. Review and sign, as authorized. * Ensure confidentiality and control access to sensitive information. * Screen and prioritize incoming calls, determine what contact or action is required for satisfactory disposition. Respond to inquiries or request for information. * Maintain departmental database and records. Enter and/or verify database transactions. Provide technical support. * Research and gather data for departmental reports. Conduct preliminary analysis of data. * As assigned, coordinate department public relations functions, as well as, coordinate production and/or distribution of promotional materials. * Assist in maintaining office equipment and purchases.
