Liquidity Management is an ongoing, critical focus in Global Treasury Management (GTM). Our structured deposit and liquidity products approach will support Corporate and Commercial Banking's goals of gathering deposit balances, enhancing market visibility and thought leadership, and delivering solutions that win share of wallet.
We are looking for a seasoned financial leader to develop internal and external tools that drive deposit portfolio optimization, behavioral analysis and ECR portfolio management, pricing approach and governance.
Key areas of responsibility include:
Responsible for supporting GTM's liquidity management strategy by developing and executing portfolio analysis and pricing recommendations in line with the bank's funding and expense targets. This individual will be responsible for:
Development of analysis and reporting that drive foundational portfolio and pricing strategies, including: internal balance/rate/fee trending, pricing sensitivity and what-if scenarios, customer behavioral trending, and competitive rate analysis and trending
Collaborating with Corporate Treasury and business line finance partners to ensure target rate, balance mix, and revenue/margin expenses are in line with bank forecasts
Creation of Earnings Credit Rate pricing strategy and recommended actions for standard and exception priced portfolios
Ongoing monitoring of deposit portfolio to ensure adherence to pricing decisions, balance targets, etc.
Analysis of and recommendations for resources needed to support statistical modelling, competitive data, and pricing optimization
Active leadership and participation in bank-wide balance and rate management forums
Uses emerging technologies to deliver liquidity optimization resources to customers through all applicable channels. Drives client-facing and external stakeholder activities throughout the product or experience lifecycle.
Develop digital tools and resources used by sales team to drive meaningful deposit conversations with clients, present external-facing liquidity solutions, and allow for continuous monitoring of inflows/outflows at product and account levels that drive real time pricing adjustments
Partner closely with Digital Channels team to assist in digital portal resource development activities including requirement definition, wireframe design, facilitation of client feedback sessions, oversight of technology development, management of pilots, migration and rollout planning.
Ensure go-to market strategies:
Provide marketing and product support to sales and service organizations.
Address an end-to-end focus on controls and regulatory requirements
Include an ongoing evaluation loop that includes requests from clients, sales, product and operations.
Include continuous internal education and sales support resources that will enable in-depth client discovery/engagement on cash flows and short-term liquidity
Excellent analytical and strategic skills; attention to detail required
Ability to work / communicate across multiple business lines and with multiple levels of leadership
Demonstrated ability to use data analysis to identify client behavioral patterns and preferences, and drive innovative solutions to meet those patterns and preferences.
8 years of financial services experience, preferably in liquidity, earnings credit or product management. Knowledge of/or previous Treasury experience a plus
Product development, roadmap development and the Agile delivery process preferred. Background in user experience design, data visualization and client facing applications.
Creative problem solver with experience building and executing innovative and complex solutions. Proficiency in project management, including project planning and budget management.
Self-motivated; strong follow-through and commitment to owning and delivering results.
