Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with GBU leaders to identify needs and corresponding opportunities to leverage the transformational potential of digital health in their business, and across Baxter. Assess opportunities to identify potential areas for revenue growth and margin improvement

  • Track trends and gaps in the digital health space to inform Baxter's overall strategy and vision

  • Develop solutions for cross Baxter digital platform, whether buy or build

  • Identify, develop, and explore external partnerships

  • Evaluate external companies as vendors or acquisition targets

  • Scope and plan digital projects. Projects typically involve problem framing, primary and/or secondary research, and management/facilitation of cross-functional teams across the organization. Lead the execution of multiple projects, acting as team leader across cross functional core teams.

  • Identify key risks to achieving program goals/development of mitigation plans

  • Oversee market research or business model creation to support strategic opportunities under evaluation (market sizing, competitive analyses, SWOT analyses, etc.)

  • Track and monitor budget and spending associated with projects and provides visibility to senior leadership

  • Develop governance process and criteria for evaluating and managing projects

  • Play a key role as a visible leader throughout the enterprise leading change and delivering value

  • Define goals and operational blue prints for Baxter digital transformation projects

Required Education Competencies

  • MBA required

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • Broad and versatile skills and number of years of experiences in managing strategic or operational projects

  • MedTech and/or healthcare industry or Technology Industry experience required, with ability to drive strategy through execution

  • Proven experience and ability in influencing business leaders

  • Track record in the ability to challenge the status quo and understand the big picture view across the enterprise

  • Must be able to demonstrate strong collaboration across all levels of the organization

  • Success in managing multiple projects, having delivered projects on schedule, within budget, and with measurable business benefits

  • Highly analytical, consultative approach to problem solving

  • Comfortable/thrives in ambiguous/rapidly-evolving situations

  • Superior communication/collaboration skills

  • Team player who strives to deliver organizational and team goals

  • Advocate for adopting innovative approaches and ideas

  • Experience or passion for using technology to drive business transformation

Job Summary The person in this role will lead the creation and implementation of the Digital Health Innovation roadmap for a $3.7B Global Business Unit. This road map will consist of two key elements, 1. Building framework for the required infrastructure to support and implement new product and digital applications in collaboration of our IT and R&D teams, 2. Define the digital health requirements, per externally validated needs, for all new product projects and digital applications on the road map. 3. Lead, plan and maintain the technology and digital health strategy (governance and framework) for the GBU working very closely with the GBU Staff and support functions guaranteeing alignment among stakeholders. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Will report directly to the Innovation and Pipeline VP of the Renal Care GBU * Will partner with Digital Health to align and prioritize the technology/digital strategy for the GBU . * Will establish and maintain the governance and framework around the prioritization of the technology/digital strategy for the GBU * Will guarantee the alignment among the different stakeholders/areas, within and outside the GBU, around the technology/digital strategy. * Will guarantee the alignment of the portfolio of the GBU (current, in process and future) with Baxter technology/digital strategy and within the GBU. * Ensures that the technology/digital strategy matches stakeholder/customer/patients needs of the GBU. * Understand, anticipates and raise awareness of market and competitive dynamics and trends that could impact the technology/digital strategy from the GBU. * Act as or coordinate with the product/marketing managers for life cycle of product. * Solid ability to understand market trends, financial data, and customer needs and assess competitive intelligence data. Ability to develop and execute communication plans and messaging and branding campaigns. * Skills in the areas of pricing, reimbursement, and creative product/program development. * Solid strategic planning abilities and business acumen. * Track record in leading projects to successful completion. Qualifications: * Educational background in Marketing and/or Business related fields. * Preferable a Masters Degree in Marketing, Business or Digital Health. * At least 8 years of working experience where 3 of those where in management positions and preferably at least 2 years on global roles. * Knowledge of the HealthCare space and specifically renal are highly desirable.
