Provides formal supervision of transmission lines team leaders, inspectors, and field personnel, including work assignments, technical direction, performance management, and employee development.
Ensures that processes are in place to prioritize, plan, coordinate, and schedule construction work activities to support the capital portfolio and maintenance programs.
Oversees schedule development and updates for construction activities in the capital portfolio.
Directs and oversees all facets for transmission lines construction and maintenance in accordance with applicable safety and compliance standards, company procedures, and project specifications.
Develops resource strategies, resource recommendations, and business plans in support of short and long-term capital projects and business objectives.
Establishes organization structures, work processes, and contractor utilization strategies to ensure optimum utilization of available staffing.
Identifies and implements transmission construction strategies including development of standards, procedures, and reporting.
Lead process development, implementation, and change management efforts to support department and organizational initiatives.
Forecast costs associated with construction activities at the project and capital portfolio level.
Monitors project cost and activity progress data to minimize cost and schedule variances.
Responsible for construction accruals and invoice processing.
Ensures that standard work procedures and processes are up to date and that all employees are properly trained.
All other duties and projects as assigned.
Work Conditions Normal office environment with frequent field experience involving exposure to weather extremes, uneven terrain, and proximity to high-voltages. Physical Effort Work routinely requires walking and climbing of stairs and ladders.
