Position Summary:

  • To lead Production Operators in the department to the highest productivity levels.

Responsibilities:

  • Train or work in any manufacturing area. Able to train others in the work area.
  • Complete all production reporting paperwork: labor sheet, corrective action sheet, quality reporting, etc.
  • Select and identify BOM parts required. Use Bill of Materials (BOM).
  • Participate in Gemba Kaizan initiatives.
  • Performs set-ups and operations for assemblers in the department, as needed.
  • Set-up and run new part configurations with minimal assistance.
  • Set-up and run all existing part configurations using job packet.
  • Understand all necessary quality criteria to be able to pass audit before sending to next operation.
  • Know machines used for each operation.
  • Proficient in all functions listed under Production Operator.
  • Miscellaneous duties as required.

Requirements



Qualifications:

  • Must have excellent eyesight and must be able to distinguish colors.
  • Must be able to read, write, and understand verbal instructions.
  • Must be able to interpret drawings and process specifications.
  • Must be mechanically inclined with excellent manual dexterity.
  • Must have good mathematical skills (adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing).
  • Must have good communication skills.

  • Continuously look to improve methods.

Provide feedback and suggestions for improving the reliability of plant assets.</li> </ul> <ul> <li><strong>Ensures operation of facility and process equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements per manufacturer's specifications or equipment breakdown history; this includes but is not limited to referencing diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, and engineering specifications.</strong></li> </ul><p></p><p><strong><strong> <strong>Responsibilities:</strong></strong></strong></p> <ul> <li>Assist in troubleshooting machinery and automation failures as necessary. This includes, but is not limited to, winding machines, presses, CNC mills/lathers, pneumatics, motor control devices, PLC’s, input sensing devices, such as limit switches, photo sensors, level sensors, etc.; other output devices, such as solenoid valves, indicators, alarms, etc.</li> <li>Completes scheduled PM checklists on facility or process equipment per maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled preventive maintenance.</li> <li>Assist in the design and installation of new or upgraded equipment and machinery, such as conduit, wiring, power distribution, machine controls, machine automation, motors, counters, lighting, heat tracing, etc. </li> <li>Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt. May obtain estimates for supplies, repair parts; orders parts as needed.</li> <li>Performs other related duties as assigned or necessitated by business conditions, e.g. ISO/TS procedures, general maintenance, outside custodial duties, etc.</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul> <li>High school diploma and three to five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience related to maintenance.</li> <li>Able to quickly and accurately diagnose equipment malfunctions to maximize production availability, performance and quality.</li> <li>Able to read and interpret schematics (electrical, electronic, pneumatic and mechanical) and technical documents (safety, operating, troubleshooting and maintenance manuals) to assist in troubleshooting and/or determine methods and sequence of assembly.</li> <li>Good teambuilding abilities, excellent verbal and written communication, analytical problem solving skills and working knowledge of PC Systems. Must be able to lift at least 45 pounds.</li> <li>Able to use mechanical and electrical tools as well as test and measuring equipment to assemble and/or troubleshoot equipment.
