Directly supervise and coordinate the activities of production and operating workers, such as inspectors, precision workers, machine setters and operators, assemblers, fabricators, and plant and system operators.

The duties of the Group Lead consist of the following:

Acts as a liaison between Team Lead and Supervisor for job assignments.

Determines training needs for quality, safety and production related training or retraining of employees.

Conducts audits to verify the accuracy of training for quality, safety and production procedures.

Conducts audits of moving parts and inspections on OAE sheets and production boards within their area.

Responsible for enforcing schedules, inventory adjustments, problem-solving, and OAE.

Generate work orders for maintenance.

Generates reports on scrap and inventory and ensures accuracy of reporting.

Responsible for area 5S.

Conducts audits of quality and safety sheets.

Fill in for Team Leads and operators as needed.

Perform audits for safety and production.

Adherence to the Critical 40.

Responsible for all the on-goings of the assigned area and escalating employee issues to the Supervisor.

May be given certain authority within job scope by Supervisor or Manager.

Each employee has the authority to initiate action to prevent a violation of the Federal-Mogul Integrity Policy.

All employees will abide by the plant's safety policy, comply with the legal and other requirements and operational controls established, work toward achieving established objectives and targets, and conform to procedures consistent with the ISO 14001 standard. An employee should report, and if necessary stop, any activity that does not conform to the policy or may injure himself/herself.

Capable of providing support as requested by Supervisor.


Must possess leadership skills. Must have a good attitude, good communication skills, good computer skills and have the willingness to assist the team and others. Must have an eagerness to learn.


Must have at least 12 months experience as a Federal-Mogul/Tenneco employee within the value stream. Must be able to work independently and problem solve.


Average work requires moderate level of physical effort. Must be able to withstand sitting, walking, and standing for several hours at a time over an 8 to 12 hour shift.

Must be able to operate a computer. Lifting and some climbing may be required. Must be able to lift at least 35 pounds on a regular basis, and on occasion heavier parts.

Handling of oily and/or greasy material or use of coolants, water, flux, etc. may be required. Consistent use of verbal communication required.

VIEW JOBS 2/15/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-05-15T00:00 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Tenneco Powertrain's Sealing and Gasket business is looking for an experienced Operations Scheduler responsible for creating shipments for customer requirements, staging, inspecting, and labeling of all customer shipments, daily data entry, inventory organization, and proper routing of incoming shipments and rejects. An ideal candidate would be an experienced scheduler who has worked in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This person will report to the Value Stream Manager and will become a valued member of our production planning and distribution support team therefore, opportunities for advancement are strong. We are ready to act immediately on those candidates who are the best fit for the role. You'll first hear from someone in Talent Acquisition to schedule a phone screen, and then the next step will be a personal interview with our Hiring Manager. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Responsible for analyzing and directing inventory reduction programs across multiple Value Streams. * Responsible for the overall plant Planning/Scheduling function. * Directs inventory/production planning and control activities. * Improve scheduling tools and processes through application of new projects and ideas. * Will be responsible for MRP within an ERP system. * Analyze and properly plan production activities in response to customer demand and level load plan. * Analyze inventory levels and product demand to determine replenishment levels to ensure no material shortages. * Review and update material requirements and production schedules to determine proper levels for finished goods inventories. * Train and supervise the work of Value Stream Schedulers either directly or indirectly in the daily use of MRP. * Calculate/Recalculate Kanban loops for purchased and manufactured materials. * Establish correct inventory targets for raw, WIP and finished goods inventories REQUIREMENTS: Education: Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent years in experience. Skills & Experience: * Minimum of 3-4 years of relevant experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. * Knowledge of QAD ERP systems required. * Experience in the Automotive Industry preferred. * Ability to communicate effectively in both orally and written form with co-workers, departments, customers and vendors. * Ability to resolve and interpret practical problems and issues using a variety of instructions or guides in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. * Advanced computer knowledge using Microsoft Windows/Office (VBA, Macro, Form Automation).
