OVERVIEW

  • The Group Lead Logistics Inventory Control position is responsible to lead the teams responsible for Inventory Control and Quality Hold and Release. The leader in this role is accountable for all aspects of finished goods inventory accuracy at all inventory storage locations in the US including physical inventory accuracy, system inventory accuracy (WMS, SAP), financial inventory accuracy, and all related KPIs and processes. This person also leads the Logistics Quality Hold and Release team for all warehouse locations in the US, as well as is accountable for KPIs and processes around warehouse controllable inventory losses.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Inventory Accuracy

  • Responsible for the KPIs around warehouse controllable losses, including damage, shortages, counting losses, and claims

  • Lead a team responsible for providing timely communication of inventory accuracy between warehouse management systems (WMS) and Kraft Heinz inventory systems of record.

  • Identify and scope system changes impacting inventory accuracy working as a liaison between the end users and IT Development. End-user communication and support for system changes and issues.

  • Drive accountability and ownership of inventory accuracy to 3PLs and warehouses through monthly and quarterly business reviews, support the Warehouse Leads with KPIs, data, and continuous improvement efforts in these areas

  • Provide accurate and timely updates to the appropriate leadership regarding inventory accuracy issues that impact or may impact the business including large inventory variances, personnel issues, and system updates and outages

  • Work directly with Warehouse leadership both internally and externally to immediately address any issues within the scope of inventory control

  • Ensure the warehouses are in compliance with the cycle count policy. Owner of KPI and compliance tracking.

  • SOX compliance reporting and remediation for both system and physical inventory accuracy

  • Support all aspects of new site go-lives, integration changes (Red Pipe to Blue Pipe), WMS change including training, testing, go live on-site support, and hyper care through steady state

  • Process owner for Damage and customer claims caused by the warehouse locations

  • Traceability and Hold and Release

  • Lead the team that is responsible for communicating and ensuring the execution of all finished-goods quality hold and release orders for product outside of plant control. Working with Plant and BU Quality and the distribution network, perform distribution product reconciliation of affected inventory

  • Accountable for accurate and timely hold dispositions for all product on quality hold by working with Quality and the distribution.

  • Recall readiness - administer mock recall program and score carding. This position would align with the BUs to evaluate traceability risk in establishing new supplier and distribution channels, as well as ongoing demonstration of recall effectiveness in existing channels.

  • Distribution Recall Coordinator Reconcile all finished goods and generate complete consignee list for affected customers. Post recall coordinate with cross functional groups to ensure no further distribution and all returns are properly secured.

  • Lead Best Practice improvement projects regarding processes and IT issues which impact traceability.

  • Provide ongoing training and situation support to BU Quality resources as necessary, aligned to the core Supply Chain Quality Best Practices and procedures.

  • Provide support and input into Quality policies affecting product hold procedures, traceability and market withdrawal.

  • Facilitate reverse logistic processes in the event of a recall or product withdrawal

  • Become SME in Traceability data, tools, and procedures, as well as application administrator of Traceability software.

  • Generate and explain executive level hold reporting to the VP of Quality, Head of Manufacturing, and the CFO's of the BU's

  • Maintain rituals and routines for quality hold and release reporting to maintain the Global Playbook requirements

  • Process execution owner for all product dispositions between statues

  • Batch/Code date process owner for all sites that store inventory as batch

External Manufacturing, Business Process Excellence

  • The manager of External Manufacturing Business Process Excellence also reports into this role.

  • Act as the connector between external manufacturing and warehouse operations regarding all inbound buffering strategies and new product development launches

  • Lead the manager of EM, BPE through IT challenges, startups, and large projects to ensure proper execution of all systematic movements of inventory
