American Building Supply (ABS), a division of Jeld Wen, and one of the Nation's largest suppliers of Doors, Door Hardware, Windows, and Millwork is currently seeking experienced General Production/Sizer to join our talented team of door professionals.

Depending on assignment, successful candidates may do any of the following duties:

  • Operate small and large machines in the production of doors

  • Work on door assembly line building doors

  • Inspect all product for quality

  • Machining doors for hardware installation

  • Material preparation and material handling

  • Staging and packaging finished product for delivery

  • Other general warehouse duties as needed

  • In all functions, maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety rules

Preferred Experience:

  • Past experience in commercial woodworking (doors, millwork, cabinets, etc.)

  • Past experience in manufacturing or warehouse environment

  • General knowledge of building materials

  • Can perform simple math and use basic hand-held measuring tools

Other important qualifications:

  • Positive outgoing attitude

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Self-motivated, goal oriented

  • Ability to work with others in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

  • Ability to promote and maintain a TEAM atmosphere

Brookside Optometric Group ensures the highest standard of eye care through a compassionate team dedicated to helping families preserve their precious gift of sight.    What you'll do:    As the newest member of our team, you'll play a critical role in supporting our Optometrists, enabling them to provide comprehensive vision care for a variety of patients and ocular conditions. You'll demonstrate your technical knowledge as you conduct patient workups while familiarizing patients throughout the eye care experience. This is an excellent opportunity to work with state-of-the-art technology, including an Oculus Pentacam, Optomap retinal scanner, Cirrus 600 OCT, Atlas typographer, and a Pachette pachymeter.   Additionally, you'll also:    *     Intake patient history, verify the medical and ocular history and input medication history into a database or patient file.   *     Perform Visual Acuity (VA) measurements, screenings, testing, visual fields, and retinal photos.   *     Train patients on contact lens insertion and removal.   *     Order contacts of various types of materials and designs.   *     Administer topical ophthalmic and dilation medications.   *     Scribe for the Optometrists and translate as needed.   *     Assist Optometrists with in-office procedures.    *     Provide support in other areas including, administrative tasks, checking patients in and out, verifying insurance, and scanning charts.      This is a full-time position with 38 to 40 hours weekly-the practice is open Monday through Saturday.      Who you are:    You're a confident and enthusiastic Optometric Technician excited to provide a personalized experience to address eye care needs and transform the quality of life.
