Job Description Job Description This position is responsible for facilitating therapeutic and educational material in a group setting. This includes ensuring that established procedures are followed and that clinical standards that are set for adhering to the program curriculum, group and psychoeducational materials and documentation of such services.

Creativity is necessary in order to ensure that clients are successfully engaged, motivated and supported in services. Responsible for adhering and utilizing our organization’s curriculum and collaborating with treatment team and clinical director to provide appropriate oversight and feedback. TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1.Therapeutic and Psychoeducational Materials:

Responsible for servicing clients in a group setting by providing therapeutic and psychoeducational groups.

Responsible for collaborating with the clinical treatment team. Ensure following the program curriculum as it applies to scheduled groups.

Responsible for communicating group dynamics and working to improve client engagement and satisfaction. v Complete necessary documentation through the EMR system in a thorough and timely manner; v Establish positive rapport with clients in order to achieve optimal results for group cohesion and client engagement v Communicate effectively with staff to ensure client concerns, issues, milestones and progress are efficiently reported 2.Communication/Collaboration: Responsible for facilitating the client’s use of available support systems and resources to meet needs identified throughout their treatment. Responsible for collaborating with treatment team and helping to identify needs that arise during their treatment.

Additionally, responsible for communicating with treatment team on client’s engagement, recovery progress and receive feedback from Clinical Director. v Contribute as part of the multidisciplinary team; v Apply confidentiality rules and regulations appropriately; v Demonstrate respect and non-judgmental attitudes toward clients in all contacts with community professionals and agencies; v Exchange relevant information with the agency consistent with confidentiality rules and regulations and generally accepted professional standards of care. 3.Administration: Responsible for the accurate, timely, and complete documentation of services delivered. Responsible for the efficient operation of the site in conjunction with other team members and ensures that all client activities occur as planned. v All group notes, and any other documentation is completed according to policy, is legible, and reflects client participation in treatment; v All reports and/or documents requested by management are accurate and timely; v Anticipates the needs of the clients and the program in order to ensure effective programming. 4.Professional Responsibility:

Responsible for adhering to all professional and ethical codes of conduct as outlined per Inner Voyage Recovery Center’s Policies and Procedures Manual. The holder of this position is also responsible for undertaking and sustaining a commitment to job related professional growth. v Knowledge of and adherence to all confidentiality laws as applied to substance use and protected health information; v Knowledge of and adherence to the professional code of ethics of the agency and the licensing board; v Development of personal, professional goals developed in conjunction with supervisor to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of programming. EDUCATION : High School Graduate or GED required CES CPS ARBS or ARS CAC I, II or CADC I, II Certifications or Licenses that ensure the individual is competent to facilitate therapeutic and psychoeducational groups in a structured setting EXPERIENCE: 2 years experience preferred in the field of Substance Abuse and/or Mental Health Working knowledge of 12 step programming preferred QUALIFICATIONS : Organizational and administrative skills Able to communicate effectively (both written and oral skills) Ability to work independently Ability to multitask Ability to work under pressure Familiarity with health and safety issues Two years Sobriety prior to application (if applicable).
