Certification as a Batterer's Counselor from a Department of Public Health approved Batterer's Intervention Training Program is required. Ideally you will have an updated CPR training or agree to become CPR trained upon hire, (with 16 hours of in service training per year). Bilingual Spanish speaking candidates preferred. Portuguese Speaking Highly preferred.
Responsibilities:
Conducts program intakes, orientation groups and on-going groups as assigned.
Documents progress/process notes for each participant.
Maintains partner/victim phone contact consistent with Department of Public Health regulations to ensure partner safety.
Collects fees and distributes receipts in accordance with agency and program policy.
Records attendance, payments, balances, and number of groups completed on attendance/payment record.
Reports any treatment non-compliance to supervisor via staff communication sheet.
Complies with all statutes and regulations concerning mandated reporting, i.e. reports of abuse and neglect; duty to warn.
DPH Certification required to facilitate groups.
