NV5 is seeking a Group Director to join our San Diego, CA Water Resources team. The selected candidate will provide leadership, strategic planning, staff development and business development within the water resources market sector.
The selected candidate will be responsible for the following:
Develop, implement, and monitor strategic plans, staffing plans and performance metrics for the Water Resources market sector.
Establish contacts and build relationships with existing clients and prospective clients.
Serve as Project Manager and technical leader on Water Resources projects.
Provide leadership to the Water Resources Group, including day-to-day operations.
Manage budgets, including labor, expense and project budgets.
Deliver on group short-term and mid-term business objectives
Develop critical mass of the group (people, process and tools) to meet office and/or regional needs.
Provide workload planning, recruiting and talent pool development, and project management.
Lead the Water Resources group in developing and writing proposals.
Network to maintain and enhance the company's local public image and reputation as engineer of choice.
P.E. license in the State of California
10-15 years of experience in flood control design, drainage design, hydrologic and hydraulic methods and modeling.
Minimum of five (5) years in a supervisory role.
Familiarity with San Diego Regional MS4 permit and local stormwater regulations
