TITLE:Returns Processor
SHIFT: 1st Mon-Fri 7am-3pm
PRIMARY ROLE PURPOSE
This position is primarily responsible for expediting all workflows through DLX.
Key Accountabilities / Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Load, unload, move, stock, and stage product. May require using powered equipment.
Verify proper item is in the original packaging in preparation for scanning
Assure accurate and proper processing of all freight utilizing the scanning system
Identify items that require special processing or separation (e.g. hazardous material, store services, research, salvage)
Ensure that scanned freight reaches the appropriate destination (e.g. slot, destroy, salvage)
Stack and tape pallets in a safe manner
Observe all safety and sanitation standards
Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
Ability to work specified shift with flexibility to either come in early or stay late as required.
Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules
Ability to read, understand, and follow directions/instructions
Ability to perform simple math calculations
Basic computer skills and experience
Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with associates and/or customers
Able to multi-task with conflicting priorities
Effective leadership skills, with ability to set priorities & make decisions
Ability to work productively and positively within a dynamic team environment
Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, stoop, reach, stretch, step, climb and/or sit frequently or through the duration of the shift
Ability to learn technical material to accomplish necessary objectives
Role Purpose:
Responsible for assigning work schedules, training associates and monitoring associate progress for the work group they are directing. Provides day-to-day direction and guidance to work group. Responsible for daily workloads.
Key Accountabilities:
Conduct training for new associates.
Maintain legible and accurate records or logs.
Review documents prepared by members of the work group for accuracy and legibility.
Monitor performance of associates within the work group.
Open and/or close and secure the building as directed.
Report unsafe conditions to supervisor if they cannot be self-corrected.
Communicate work practices, procedures, and methods to associates.
Required Education and Experience:
6-12 months warehouse experience
6-12 months forklift operation experience
High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred
Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment, preferred
