Grow your career as a successful Group Air Team Lead within ALG Vacations, one of our 14 industry-leading brands. In this role, you will oversee the day to day needs of the Group Air Support team. You will help bridge the gap between the Group Service team and the Travel Advisor and clients scheduled air needs. You will be responsible for a wide range of tasks all of equal value and importance; Assigning work, team trainings, team member connects, name changes, ticket exchanges, class of service changes, pricing, ticketing, contracted air, and special requests.

A successful Group Air Team Lead will:

  • Answer emails and phone calls from Travel Advisors regarding scheduled air requests and modifications

  • Name changes and corrections with airline carriers

  • Class of service changes

  • Transfer of credits for ticketless carriers

  • Waiver requests

  • Refund requests or waivers

  • Non GDS PNR changes

  • Assist in researching ticket history and issues

  • Open up suspended tickets

  • American Airline dashboard assistance

  • Seat assignment issues

  • Assist in Contract Group Scheduled Air

  • Work with airlines to quote and book contracted air groups

  • Work with accounting to request and process single use credit cards for payments

  • Issue seats assignments and ticketing letters

  • Oversee Day to Day Need of a Team

  • Review time cards and approve team member time off

  • Set team schedules for Air Chat

  • Manage daily case queue, assign out work

  • Organize training documents

  • Work as a lead and mentor for team members

  • Manage relationship between service team leads and the AGLV air department

  • Perform other duties or special projects as required or as assigned by a manager

  • Demonstrate a commitment to Hyatt core values

A successful Group Air Team Lead will have:

  • Degree from a 2 year accredited university preferred

  • 2+ years of airline background

  • 2+ years of experience working in Wordlspan, Sabre and Amadeus

  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing top level customer service

  • Worldspan, Sabre & Amadeus Required

  • Salesforce

  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook & Teams)

Additional Required Experience:

  • Ability to excel in an environment that is both back stage and front stage and has a passion for a high-level of customer service. Ability to multi-task and stay organized

  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain strong relationships both internally and externally

  • Collaborate with colleagues and staff to drive results and promote a team oriented environment

  • Strong written and phone skills.

  • Demonstrate commitment to the use of methods and procedures to standardize and streamline operations, identify and implement cost-savings and process improvements.

  • Strong ability to efficiently navigate through various computer screens and programs

  • ALGV system knowledge is a plus - VAX booking modifications and FIT processing knowledge
