We're looking for a detail-oriented task master, with a strategic sensibility for both problem solving as well as brand stewardship, to work on editorial and social campaign for one of the world's biggest tech brands.
This Group Account Director will oversee the day-to-day management of projects ranging from editorial content production (articles, infographics, case studies) to social initiatives (asset creation, event activations, channel management oversight) as well as the production of various sales collateral (printed one-sheeters, event materials, tchotchkes, etc.).
The ideal candidate can take the lead on multiple active segments of client business with simultaneous workstreams and can direct a cross-functional agency team toward achieving the objectives they have worked with the client to establish.
Responsibilities include reviewing creative content with editorial and design teams, guiding the work through the approval process with clients and providing overall leadership for the integrated team. Along with ensuring the work is being completed in an efficient manner, the candidate should have an understanding of campaign strategies and act as support through the process of developing strategic initiatives to drive audience engagement. That understanding of marketing strategy and operations should extend to being able to initiate projects, from courting new business leads and developing agency project proposals through to creating and executing project plans and managing client budgets and revenue forecasts.
An effective written and verbal communicator with excellent client service skills, the right candidate is someone who can effectively lead an internal cross-functional team as well as build consensus and support for the work among the day-to-day client leads. We're looking for someone who thrives working independently as well as closely within a team environment.
The role reports to the agency leadership team and will have a support team of senior account managers who will require management and mentoring.
At least seven years of relevant experience is required and experience in technology brands is preferred.
7-9 years experience in an agency or editorial setting
Mastery of client service and client relationship building
Familiarity with digital marketing strategies and digital channels (e.g. search, video, mobile, programmatic buying, measurement planning, etc.) a plus
Understanding of best practices for social media platforms (especially Twitter and LinkedIn) and email newsletters
Experience with new business acquisition: developing scopes of work, writing proposals, pitch meetings, etc.
Proficiency in managing client budgets and developing revenue forecasts
Problem solver with a flexible and optimistic attitude
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
An entrepreneurial spirit, both working well with a team and individually
