Starting at $18.00+ per hour, year round position with life-work balance.

CURRENT OPENINGS:

• Full-time: 80 hours biweekly: 7:30AM-4:00PM

• On-call during winter weather conditions; required to assist with snow removal.

• Flexible hours due to seasonal work.

• Most weekends and holidays OFF.

The Groundskeeper/Mower assists the Groundskeeper Supervisor in maintaining the Mennonite Home Communities grounds, shrubs, trees, and grass. This position is performed in accordance with Mennonite Home Communities Core Values, Mission Statement, and regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A valid PA driver's license with a minimum of two (2) years of driving experience required.One (1) to two (2) years of experience working as a groundskeeper or nursery worker preferred but not required .Pesticide license preferred or must be obtained within one year.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Assists in caring for all Mennonite Home Communities grounds including trimming trees and shrubs, maintaining flower beds, and mowing grass.Properly applies pesticides. Assists in implementing snow and ice procedures.Assists in general maintenance such as painting, wallpapering, carpeting, plumbing, electrical and mechanical work. Keeps the facility in good condition and the equipment functioning at an optimal level. (Inclement weather and off seasons.)Safely drives a car, van, truck, or tractor in a variety of weather conditions.
