We currently have a full time opening for a Grounds Specialist at Baldwin Fairchild Oaklawn Cemetery in Sanford, FL. GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Manages the grounds services provided at a cemetery or funeral home location(s). Performs all grounds keeping and maintenance matters on the properties and maintains the overall appearance of a cemetery, mausoleum or funeral home location.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Mows grass, plows snow, waters lawns, fertilizes and trims shrubs, tends flower beds and regularly inspects assigned work areas to insure proper standards are maintained.

  • Operates lawn and grounds equipment including push and power mowers, snow blowers, weed eaters, leaf blowers and other related power equipment.

  • Removes debris and trash from grounds. May include turning down vases and removing wilted flowers

  • Participates on teams in openings and closings for interments, entombments and inurnments. May perform disinterment.

  • May determine the location and layout of individual graves with assistance, complying with Company Interment Verification procedures.

  • May perform minor repairs to the cemetery and / or building systems.

  • May perform some of the duties associated with cremations such as maintaining inventory and complying with federal and state cremation regulations.

  • Observe safety rules and ensure compliance with the operating procedures of corporate, federal, state and local regulations, including OSHA regulations and Safety and Environmental guidelines.

  • May assist in moving and installing burial vaults.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education:

  • High school education or equivalent

Experience:

  • Minimum 6 months relevant experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to operate hand-held tools and equipment, including, but not limited to, a shovel, pick, rake, sledge hammer, lawn mower, weed trimmer and leaf blower

  • Ability to accurately use measuring devices (i.e. tape measure, yard stick, etc.)

  • Ability to communicate effectively with fellow associates, contractor personnel and client families

  • Ability to operate equipment in a safe and careful manner

  • Ability to effectively work with others to accomplish tasks

  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions

  • Basic computer skills to enable retrieving and responding to email communications

Primary function of the position is to assure compliance and control of all aspects of transportation, warehouse operations, internal/external distribution of all shipping and receiving operations (including import/export); raw material management, consumable and intermediate inventory control operations, sampling and all other activities necessary for supporting and maintaining all cGMP, R&D, laboratory, and other support operations at the Pfizer, Sanford facility. Accountable for compliance in Warehouse functions to ensure that all Material Supply and Warehouse operations are performed in accordance with all applicable company, department, and regulatory requirements (FDA, cGMP, EPA, TSA, FAA, etc.) ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES * Function as an expert on Customs-related matters for Pfizer Sanford, NC. * Support a Customs compliance program designed to facilitate the rapid entry of goods, supported by appropriate Key Performance Indicators) * Interact with Global Trade Controls, government regulatory and enforcement agencies, as appropriate, regarding inquiries, notices, assessments and audits. * Support an increased market logistics platform by analyzing Customs and trade factors involved in new location sourcing, and communicating and implementing appropriate compliance and trade solutions. * Provide guidance to colleagues on relevant global, EU and local Customs laws and regulations, as well as internal Customs policies, procedures and programs. * Conduct transactional audits and compliance reviews of the Pfizer Sanford NC site to measure and enhance compliance performance. * Reconciles entry discrepancies; submits change request to Global Trade Controls * Complete USDA permit applications for new animal derived materials being imported. * Comply with all departmental Level III documents (SOPs) by following detailed written and verbal instructions to complete assigned tasks. * Create and own supply chain commitments and change controls. * Provide support for risk assessments requiring warehouse support. * Provide SME support for all investigations/ events that involve Supply Chain. * Provide guidance during internal and external audits through participation in tours and post audit activities. * Maintain current shipping / receiving and warehouse operational area policies and SOP's. Create / update site policies and SOP's to reflect changes in department, site, corporate or government regulations. Assure new / current policies and SOP's are created / updated to reflect the current state of operations in the Warehouse operational areas. Review for accuracy and compliance and approve new or revised SOP's. * Maintain current Customs compliance policies, procedures and programs, and promulgating new and amended compliance policies, procedures and programs as needed, in alignment with the Global Trade Controls Function. * Resolve Customs-related compliance issues and interpret applicable laws and regulations in partnership with the Global International Trade Compliance Function and the Law Dept. (and, when needed, with outside counsel and/or consultants). * Team member on warehouse capacity modeling and inventory management. * Demonstrate knowledge of procedures by performing tasks and duties and maintaining detailed records in a manner compliant with cGMP requirements. * Perform all the tasks outlined in this Job Description and other duties, as assigned, in compliance with cGMP requirements and written procedures. * Complete all relevant training prior to independent performance of GMP tasks * Comply with all OSHA, corporate, site, department, and task related safety requirements * Assure compliance with all Import/Export functions required for US Customs. * Maintain C-TPAT requirements for security and regulatory requirements for handling Imports. * Responsible for paperwork reconciliation for import/exports and hazmat shipments; including the maintenance of logs for all Imports and Exports for the Pfizer Sanford site BASIC QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's degree in Science, Communications, or English, with at least 2 years related experience in cGMP compliance, including technical writing, preferably in a pharmaceutical supply chain/warehouse environment * Strong organizational and communication skills * Team based collaborative problem solving * Strong understanding of cGMP * Effective active listening skills.
