Dakota State University is seeking applications for a full-time Grounds Keeper to maintain the campus landscape and provide snow/ice removal services. This position will work an 8 hour shift Monday through Friday from 7am
Responsibilities:
Mow lawns.
Plants, cultivates, and trims plants, shrubs, flowers, and trees.
Operates lawn mowers, power sweepers, tractors, stump cutters, and various power and hand tools.
Paints parking lot striping.
Lines and maintains athletic fields.
Applies chemicals such as pesticides, fertilizers, and herbicides.
Removes snow, ice, and debris from sidewalks, streets, and grounds.
Maintains, installs, and repairs sprinkler system and related equipment.
Maintains mowers, sweepers, and other equipment.
Requirements:
Valid driver's license.
Lift up to 50lbs regularly.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to work in various weather conditions.
Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical labor.
Ability to operate motorized vehicles, hand and power tools, and related equipment.
Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
