Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Determines equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment operations.
Solve problems by using manufacturers' manuals or similar documents.
Diagnoses, repairs, and installs equipment to include: gasoline and diesel-powered generators, decontamination apparatus, electric motors, light towers, air conditioners, pressure washers, steam cleaners, air compressors, wiring harnesses, printed circuit, starters, and other equipment as required.
May be required to wear a respirator.

High School graduate or equivalent.
Completion of formal military or civilian training in power systems, electronics, and soldering. The soldering course must meet Mil-Standard 2000.
Minimum of two (2) years' experience as a power systems' mechanic, worker, or helper.
Should have ASE/C.F.C certifications in air conditioning reclamation, recycle and recovery R-12 to R502 refrigerants and a working knowledge of military air conditioning systems.
Minimum of two (2) years' experience in electronics trouble shooting repair at the general support level. Depot level experience a definite plus.
Must be able to obtain a SECRET Clearance.
Must be able to pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) for computer access.

Work requires standing, walking, climbing, and bending; occasionally working in cramped spaces or awkward positions. Frequently lift equipment and components over 25 pounds.

There will be exposure to dirt, dust and grease. There will be frequent exposure to chemicals that may burn and irritate the skin if proper personal protective equipment is not used. If employee fails to follow appropriate safety procedures, there could be exposure to cuts, bruises, shock and strains. Employee may be required to work uncommon tours of duty including nights, holidays and week-ends. Must comply with the following: OSHA, EPA, fire regulations, and job/company applied publications.
