Leidos has new opportunities for Ground Control Station (GCS) Technicians located at Cannon AFB, NM. Candidates must possess a current TS/SCI security clearance in order to be considered.

JOB SUMMARY: The job of the Ground Control Station (GCS) Technician is to support the daily operations of an Air Force RPA (Remotely Piloted Aircraft) Operations Center. This is a tech maintenance position maintaining RPA ground control stations. This position will also include installation of IT equipment, modification of and testing of new equipment, and the conversion of existing equipment from one facility to another facility. The ideal candidate will perform organizational level maintenance tasks specified in the AF Technical Order (TO), pre and post-flight system configuration and maintain mission specific equipment maintenance such as subsystems, auxiliary communications and computer interface equipment of Predator/Reaper Ground Control Stations. This is a 24/7/365 operation with some travel required.


  • Ensure the timely and cost effective repair, upgrade, and maintenance of all assigned systems.
  • Ensure all maintenance tasks and functions are accomplished in accordance with (IAW) Air Force Instruction (AFI) 21-101, Aircraft & Equipment Maintenance Management and documented accordingly.

  • Responsible for maintenance data documentation and air crew debriefing as required.

  • Ensure all required parts for repairs are ordered and tracked.

  • Complete and/or sign Exceptional/Conditional Releases IAW TO 00-20-1.

  • Ensure all maintenance actions are documented IAW Technical Orders and correctly entered into IMDS.

  • Track all pilot-reported discrepancies in IMDS and inform aircrew of corrective actions taken upon request.

Required Education/Experience/Skills/Certification

  • Associates Degree in a related technical discipline and 4+ years of related experience. Or 6+ years of total experience in lieu of a degree.

  • Military C4ISR (Command, Control, Computers, Communication, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance) experience required.

  • A technical maintenance background in avionics, electronics, aircraft maintenance or SATCOM is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with technical personnel and non-technical end users.

  • Excellent problem solving skills.

Required Security Clearance : Must have a current TOP SECRET SCI security clearance.

VIEW JOBS 12/17/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-17T00:00 Overview The Field Service Technician works independently to provide repair and maintenance service and technical training to users of ingredient dispensing and control systems used at feed yards, feed mills, and farms to assure uninterrupted and continuous feed processing operations. The Field Service Technician also works in cooperation with operations management and all of the Operational Business Teams to direct the movement of products from the manufacturer to the customer in the most cost effective and efficient manner. Responsibilities * Service, troubleshoot, and repair all types of equipment and systems in operation at any or all customer locations. * Monitor systems at assigned customer locations for proper operation and make adjustments or repairs as needed. * Monitor inventory of products used at assigned customer locations to assure that inventory is adequate for continuous operation at all times. * Deliver products from warehouse to customer location as needed. * Provide technical assistance and training to customers as needed for proper operation of equipment and systems to achieve desired results. * Provide technical assistance and support as needed to customers during non-working hours (evenings) and when "on-call" (weekends). * Travel to customer locations in company vehicle and maintain vehicle and personal driving record to meet company requirements. * Complete all records and documentation as required. * Work overtime as required and without notice if necessary. * Perform other duties as assigned to the Field Support Technician. Qualifications Education/Experience: * At least one year of work in equipment service or operation of agricultural equipment required. * High school diploma is required. * Technical school degree or college degree is preferred. * Installation or operation of grain flaking systems, including grain conditioning, roller milling, and high pressure steam boiler operation, is preferred. Knowledge, Skill, and Ability: * Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to speak limited Spanish is desired. * Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. * Ability to prioritize. * Strong math, analytical, and troubleshooting skills. * Must be self-motivated and organized. * Must have an aptitude for and a working knowledge of Windows based PC's. * Must have an aptitude for and a working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic devices and their use. * Must have a valid driver license and be able to pass a criminal background check, drug test, and motor vehicle record check. * Knowledge of cattle feeding, feeding systems, feed ingredients, and feed formulation is desired. Work Environment / Required Physical Activity * Outdoor service work 10-40% of the time. * Lift and carry up to 60 lbs. * Occasional ladder climbing and work on elevated equipment. * Local travel 75-100% of the time. * Limited overnight travel.
