Description:

Position Summary:
The grill cook takes orders for grill food items, cooks and prepares the order, and gives the order to the customer. Providing quality service is essential to customer satisfaction.

Essential Functions:

  • Sets up and breaks down the grill station

  • Provides friendly and helpful customer service

  • Takes the customer's order and prepares the order according to recipe, keeping in mind additional customer specifications or dietary needs

  • Cooks items according to the specified cook times to ensure that they are safe for customer consumption

  • Uses the correct portions when cutting and serving items

  • Anticipates peak and non-peak service times; batch cooks food items accordingly

  • Responsible for the appearance of food when serving to customers

  • Restocks the station with condiments and food product as needed

  • Adheres to the weekly/monthly cleaning schedules by completing the assigned tasks

  • Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils

  • Lifts food pans from warmer to the serving line

  • Operates and cleans grill station (flat-top grill, char grill, hood vents, fryers, etc.)

  • Safely operates a meat slicer and executes proper knife handling

Additional Job Functions:

  • Cross-trains at other stations at the location

  • Works in other areas or departments as needed

  • Completion of any task requested by a supervisor or member of the Aramark management team

Work Environment: Mostly works in front-of-house. Requires work in grill area with extreme heat conditions and frequent interaction with heated equipment, grease, and other at-risk conditions. Involves repetitive motion; walking and/or standing for extended periods of time. Frequent lifting, pushing, and carrying.

Qualifications:

  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment

  • Time management skills

  • Excellent customer service

  • Minimum 1 year experience in the food service industry

  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment

  • Ability to read, write, and follow instructions

The Varian GIS Operations Manager is a key operational leader that directly supports the GIS Business Partner (BP) at VSE The role focuses on executing the operational duties assigned by the BP and leading the GIS onsite Deskside Services team, which reports to corporate GIS. This is a service-oriented function that requires maintaining and supervising the support of all the end users from the Varian Business Unit (VSE BU). Key Responsibilities: * Manage the onsite Deskside Services team to meet customer support service levels following GIS standards and best practices. * Monitor, manage and report on the resolution of Requests for IT Services (RITs), as well as VSE Incident tickets. Maintain and reduce the queue of support tickets and RITs. * Adhere to service management processes and procedures to meet related service levels to maintain and/or improve customer satisfaction. * Manage, track and complete root cause analysis of outages or incident trends (working w/GIS teams and partners). Recommend preventative actions and add to the team's knowledge base. * Monitor specific GIS services for availability and performance, collate and analyze data to develop recommendations to improve or change technology. * Represent GIS for change management and end user support discussions. * Work with Deskside team lead and members ensuring proper work scheduling and prioritization is in place. * Support and assist the GIS Business Partner for ongoing GIS operational reviews and business meetings as needed. * Manage and lead continuous improvement for VSE end user support activities. * Coordinate and run ongoing or ad hoc meetings for support activities with other VSE support groups, business groups, as well as other GIS teams as required. * Maintain support trackers and pertinent activity logs in preparation for operational review meetings and/or internal management activities. * Strive to enhance and maintain good professional relationships with VSE-supported groups. * Approve and procure limited purchases in support of the GIS functions delivered at VSE. * Maintain, track and report local GIS deskside and end user support spend information as required.
