We're in search of an experienced and customer-focused Grill Cook to join our corporate cafe team in Boston, Massachusetts!

Full-time Grill Cook Schedule
6:00am - 2:30pm

Monday through Friday Schedule!

The Grill Cook is responsible for preparing and serving daily meals including breakfast, lunch and/or catering meals. Grill Cook candidates must have previous kitchen experience and be able to make food from scratch. In addition, the Grill Cook must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be focused on excellent customer service. The Grill Cook assists the Executive Chef and General Manager with daily tasks and preparation of meals as well as cleanup as needed.

Grill Cook Responsibilities:

  • Cook (to order) breakfast and lunch items per customer request

  • Responsible for preparation of grill station according to company guidelines

  • Make sure the customers are being taken care of and the department looks clean and presentable at all times

  • Operates and sanitizes all Customer Service equipment in a safe and proper manner

  • May assist in supporting culinary staff at numerous stations as directed

  • Helps with cleaning of the kitchen and cafe

  • In addition, the Grill Cook works with and takes direction from the Chef Manager

Grill Cook Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 1 - 3 years experience within a corporate cafe

  • Previous similar customer service experience

Description: Position Summary: The Food Service Lead Worker is responsible for the oversight or delegation of responsibilities within the food service operation such as inventory, customer service, food preparation, and food safety and sanitation procedures Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs. Essential Functions: * Schedules and assigns daily work assignments to a food service team and oversees the completion of tasks * Trains and guides staff on job duties, proper food safety and sanitation procedures, customer service, etc. * Prepares and builds food items according to standardized recipes and directions * Properly stores food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures * Sets up work stations including prep tables, service counters, hot wells, steam tables, etc. * Breaks down, cleans, and sanitizes work stations * Serves food to customers while ensuring guest satisfaction and anticipating the customers' needs * Replenishes food items and ensure product is stocked to appropriate levels * Maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guest, customers, clients, co-workers, etc. * Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation * Ensures security of company assets * Other duties and tasks as assigned by manager Qualifications: * Previous supervisory experience in a related role preferred * Previous food service experience required * Must be able to obtain food safety certification * Must be able to work independently with limited supervision * Demonstrates excellent customer service skills * Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 25 lbs * Must have valid ServSafe Certificate. * Must be able to supervise and provide corrective actions when needed. * Prior Food Safety experience required.
