Under general supervision, the Green Coffee Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining adequate green coffee inventory levels based on roasting and production needs. This position is responsible for coordination and supervision of all green coffee truck arrival and unloading. This position will work closely with the green coffee team in scheduling green coffee deliveries and will be the main point of contact for all Park warehouse operations.
1.Responsible for overall organization, cleanliness and operational efficiency of green coffee movement at Park and Thornton warehouses.
2.Coordinates and participates in the unloading of all green coffee into both the Park and Thornton warehouses.
3.Works closely with the Supply Chain Manager and Sourcing & Logistics Specialist to ensure proper inventories are maintained.
4.Oversees lumping crew for all green coffee truck and container unloading at Park warehouse. Communicates with lumping crew dispatch to schedule crews to ensure timely unloading of all trucks.
5.Works with Roasting team on warehouse organization including staging green coffee for production needs and mapping inventory on a weekly basis.
6.Coordinates with Sourcing & Logistics Specialist on scheduling deliveries, placing truck orders and empty trailer pick-ups.
7.Participates in monthly inventory counts. Reviews inventory levels weekly and works with Sourcing & Logistics Specialist in identifying discrepancies and maintaining par levels.
8.Responsible for green coffee direct delivery receipts and inter-site transfers in X3 inventory system.
9.Pulls green coffee samples from incoming loads according to sampling standards.
10. Manages weekly green coffee transfers from Park to Thornton warehouses.
11. Fulfills green coffee orders for ACR locations and arranges shipment with shipping logistics team.
12. Ensures FIFO/FEFO procedures are strictly adhered to, ensuring the proper flow of coffee through the warehouses.
13. Maintains proper labeling and lot tracking systems of all green coffee.
14. Follows Good Manufacturing Practices, OSHA Safety Standards, and company personnel policies at all times.
15. Coordinates with QA specialist and the Quality Team to ensure all product meets standards for quality and food safety.
16. Have training and be compliant in the company's SQF, GMP, HACCP, FDA, OSHA policies and procedures as well as any local/state/federal requirements.
Minimum two years' experience in warehouse and inventory management.
Ability to work with little supervision while effectively managing time to meet the fast paced demands of the warehouse environment.
Experience supervising other team members preferred.
Must be extremely detail oriented.
Food and manufacturing experience is preferred with knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices.
Ability to learn basic knowledge of all products and certification requirements.
Ability to work well with others in a team oriented environment.
Must demonstrate flexibility to meet quickly changing job assignments that may involve extended or overtime hours.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent math skills and computer experience.
Ability to operate a forklift in a safe manner.
Ability to perform physical requirements of the position such as standing and walking, bending and stooping daily in addition to the ability to lift up to 75 pounds throughout the work day.
