About WTVM:

WTVM-TV became the first television station on the air in Columbus, Georgia on October 6, 1953. WTVM continues to be the News Leader in the Columbus television market.

The DMA stretches across the state line into portions of east Alabama and Auburn University. With a staff of 40+ news professionals, we broadcast more than 4 hours of news each day on WTVM and well as providing news for WXTX, the area's FOX affiliate & WLTZ, the area's NBC affiliate.

The Internship Program:

With 113 television stations across the U.S., Gray Television offers an unprecedented opportunity for students to learn an area of broadcast expertise from seasoned professionals in the business. Whether your interest involves news, production, sales, marketing, or engineering, our stations become a hands-on learning environment for Gray Television interns. If we have an employee doing it, there can be a Gray intern learning and earning.

Not only will you walk away with an expanded resume and portfolio, but Gray's paid internship opens doors to begin your full-time career with Gray Television. Intern rate of pay can range from minimum wage in your state to $15 an hour.

Qualifications/Requirements:

️ Be currently enrolled in a college/university (preferred Junior/Senior)

️ Strong work ethic, and organizational skills

️ Earning a degree in Journalism/Communications, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, News, Sports, or related fields, with a desire to get hands-on experience in the local media industry
