As part of our Silicon Technologies group, you'll help design and manufacture our next-generation, high-performance, power-efficient processor, system-on-chip (SoC). You'll ensure Apple products and services can seamlessly and efficiently handle the tasks that make them beloved by millions. Joining this group means you'll be responsible for crafting and building the technology that fuels Apple's devices. Together, you and your team will enable our customers to do all the things they love with their devices. The Graphics Workflow Engineer will be responsible for full-stack software development tasks required to support the development and verification of Apple GPU designs.

Key Qualifications

We would like you to have experience with the following skills: Experience with JavaScript and associated libraries (e.g. jQuery, D3).Experience with MySQL, including schema design and performance optimization.C / C++ programming and Python scripting skills.Experience with common web development standards and APIs (e.g. HTML5, CSS)Experience with continuous integration / automated build / regression systems.Experience with graphics device driver capture is viewed as a plus.Graphics programming / GPU hardware knowledge / vocabulary, is preferred.We like people who exhibit excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to collaborate under aggressive schedules.Systems design experience.

Description

As a Graphics Workflow engineer you would be responsible for the following critical activities: - Development of high-demand automated workflows for graphics core verification.- Supporting GPU hardware teams during design bring-up through post-silicon.- Supporting GPU software teams during production driver bring-up.

Education

BS/MS/PhD CE, EE, CS, or related field

The Graphics Verification Software Engineer will be responsible top-level pre-silicon RTL verification of embedded graphics cores using pre-production graphics drivers. We would like you to have experience with the following skills: Experience in verification of complex hardware at system or component level with ability to debug issues across hardware and softwareGood knowledge of Computer Architecture, General Purpose Microprocessor, graphics architecture and Memory sub-system micro-architectureExperience in creating verification test plans and driving them to closureExperience with scripting, preferably with system automationExcellent programming skills, preferably in C/C++Experience in GPU architecture and OpenGL/CL is a strong plusExperience with emulation systems a plusDemonstrated ability to debug problems from waveforms a plusGraphics driver knowledge a plusExcellent communication skills and ability to collaborate under bold schedules Apply knowledge of graphics hardware and software to verify complex GPU RTL designs Develop and drive verification plans Run development graphics driver and test applications on development hardware systems, triaging failures to their respective teamsWrite emulation triggers, and refine stimulus to aid in waveform capture around fail pointsCreate automated flows to run tests, report status, capture debug informationSupport silicon teams by reproducing silicon failures in emulation BS/MS/PhD CE, EE, CS, or related field Apple Inc.
