Overview

Louis Berger, a WSP Company and ENR top ranking Engineering and Architecture consulting firm, has an exciting opportunity for a Graphic Designer to provide creative support to the Federal Programs and Logistics Marketing and Business Development Department in either Washington, DC or Kansas City, MO. The Graphic Designer will have to opportunity to impact company initiatives and projects through the following responsibilities:

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Create overall visual concept and layout of marketing pieces and collateral, proposals and presentations within WSP brand guidelines for both print and digital presentation

  • Prepare and design all artwork as required in proposal development, including creation and modification of proposal templates, infographics development, and other visuals

  • Prepare and design all artwork as required for interview presentations (PowerPoints, banners, and other interview collateral)

  • Develop innovative visual aspects and/or redraw/recreate drawings that will contribute to engaging proposals and presentations as part of a full package, as well as work on individual graphics to be placed within a document

  • Translate business and technical information into informational graphics to convey and support strategic documents and presentations and work with team on storyboarding and content development

  • Works closely with client and teams to determine objectives, project background information, presentation approach, design and deliver billable work

  • Collaborate with large multi-disciplinary teams including company leadership, marketing staff and a diverse group of planning, engineering and other technical professionals

  • Be accountable and responsible for meeting deadlines and following through on commitments with attention to detail

  • Implement effective quality control process to ensure production of materials is completed on time

  • Work in a fast-paced, multiple deadline environment

  • Work with a variety of computer software and desktop publishing and presentation programs

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Art, Design, Graphic Design, or related field

  • Minimum of three years of experience in a service-related business with direct graphic design (layout and creating graphics) experience

  • Fluency in software including: Adobe Creative Cloud programs (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, Premiere); and MS Office (Word, PowerPoint)

  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Problem-solver with strong layout design sense, and creativity with the integration of color, typography, photography and illustrative and graphic elements

  • Strong, effective written and verbal communication and organizational skills

  • Detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality work products

  • Ability to travel occasionally

Preferred Qualifications

  • A/E/C industry experience

  • Federal sector experience

  • Strong working knowledge of four-color printing process and ability to pre-flight, collect files and archive materials
