Have experience designing labels and packaging? Like working on yummy designs? One of our family-owned food manufacturing businesses is looking for a designer to help with their product and marketing design. This is a 6-month position in Benicia working directly with Marketing/Graphics Manager 4 days a week onsite October through December and then 5 days a week January and February 2019. On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for designing efficient packaging that effectively presents company products, while staying compliant with government. You will create all marketing tools such as collateral, web site, and internal communications, Social Media GIFs posts as needed, develop mock ups for buyers, and organize the graphics library, physical sample library, and photo shoot materials. Working with the Marketing/Graphics Manager you will also work with Plant Engineer to ensure art work fits machinery capabilities, oversee printer/vendor quality control for all graphically printed materials and review proofs and upload approved proofs.

? Understand and implement trends in packaging ? Keep abreast on current brand concepts and trends ? Ensure compliance of packaging with government agencies ? Learn government labeling regulations, ie USDA, FDA, CFIA, CCOF, GFCO ?   • Solid knowledge of brand communication and marketing

In this role, the BD Manager will represent Flatiron at industry events and will champion the pursuit of new business opportunities in collaboration and coordination. The BD Manager will lead and coordinate teaming strategy, contract and RFP reviews, and proposal document preparation processes, for the Northern California Business Unit. Responsibilities * Perform market analysis on current and future markets and develop and execute strategic plans to position Flatiron for optimal success in pursuing new work that encompasses all procurement models (CMGC, Design Build, and P3) * Participate in monthly company-wide BD discussions, and communicate status and efforts on all active pursuits to all divisions and executives * Develop specific objectives and strategies to maintain an overall effective business development program * Establish and maintain direct client contact and relationships within targeted markets * Direct the preparation and implementation of business development action plans for targeted markets * Coordinate with appropriate senior personnel on all major teaming decisions, including JV partners, designers, concessionaires, and any other appropriate parties * Responsible for the preparation and execution of SOQ's * Coordinate the commercial discussions (JV Agreements, Design Agreements etc.) with his respective counterparts from the JV and designers. Track the team's progress through the bid development phase and ensuring the proposal is fully compliant * Understand the needs of the ultimate Client to ensure our proposal adequately addresses those needs * Ensure Business Development staff liaises with Estimators for final budget and price confirmation * Coordinate with others to compile and track materials for proposals per deadlines, ensuring that client's request for proposals are fully met * Oversee, coordinate and assist in the assembly of proposal documents in various software formats, and working with others assembling proposal documents, in a professional manner * Lead strategies on communications to industry, involvement with industry groups, and strategies to "sell" Flatiron to Owners in new markets, contracts, and geographies Qualifications * A Bachelor's degree in technical field required. * 10+ years' experience leading complex pursuits in the heavy civil industry or related field. Direct experience in the Northern Californian, CA market preferred. * 5+ years' experience leading design build and alternate delivery pursuits * Demonstrated experience leading partnering and teaming agreements * Demonstrated leadership, communication, conflict resolution and interpersonal skills required * Demonstrated negotiation skills, including experience negotiation matters on behalf of the JV as they relate to cost, schedule & contract matters with owner, partners and/or subcontractors * Demonstrated leadership and active involvement in multiple associated industry organizations INDH Flatiron Construction Corp.
