As a Branded Environments Designer on the P+W team, you will:

  • As part of the BE team he or she will help develop strategic graphic/branding solutions for a variety of local and international clients across a range of market sectors, including corporate, healthcare, academic institutions, transit and science/technology.

  • Meticulously assist throughout the design process, which may include mapping strategies into sign design solutions, sign type layouts, basic sign design plans, elevations and details

  • Assist your team with environment graphic design solutions executed as interior and exterior signs, supporting user experience and overall strategic branding and graphic design

  • Work alongside and understand the functional organization of the project team

  • Utilize your rock star technical skills in design application software programs

  • Keep organized and check your work for accuracy, omissions, and legibility Work hard, play hard, and learn a lot along the way!

Requirements

To join us as a Branded Environments Designer I, you should have:

  • A professional degree in Graphic Design

  • 1+ years of experience

  • Interest in environmental graphic design and strategy, user experience and environmental graphic design

  • Ability to understand the built environment, conceptualize human interaction and use of space and successfully apply wayfinding solutions

  • Ability to visualize and illustrate forms that integrate type, color and graphics into appropriate signage design solutions

  • Ability to be focused, meticulous and thorough, possess spatial awareness, have a keen eye to detail and demonstrate exceptional design, presentation and organizational skills

  • Expertise in: Adobe Creative suite software including Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign, Microsoft Office. Knowledge and experience with Revit, AutoCAD, 3D modeling, rendering software and Filemaker

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Problem solving skills, attention to detail, and motivation to learn

  • Ability to collaborate with team members, professional work ethic and be able to follow instructions

  • LEED AP or within 6 months of hire

  • If applicable, interest in completing your ARE or NCIDQ exams

  • An understanding of the wayfinding design process is an advantage.

About the role Trunk Club's in-house agency is looking for a talented, creative and visionary Graphic Designer to bring concepts to life as a visual storyteller. The Trunk Club creative department designs and creates various types of deliverables in a collaborative, engaged team environment. Please note: All submissions for this position must include online portfolio showcasing past work What you'll do * Day-to-day delivery of stellar designs that exhibit creative abilities, understanding of design fundamentals for digital and traditional deliverables with passion for going above and beyond to exceed our clients' expectations * Actively contributes in creative input sessions, brainstorming sessions, regular status updates and contributes to all internal meetings and client meetings * Understands & contributes to the look and feel established for a concept and can extend the brand identity system to support the direction. Areas of work may include, but not limited to: print & digital production, deck/presentation development, style-guide development, image search, concept research, image retouching, video concepting, photo shoot shot list * Familiarity with print production process including prepress, prep and prepare files for print and building final files for output. * Familiarity with digital production process * Ability to articulate creative solutions and rationale to other team members * Ability to complete project tasks in accordance with project schedules (good time management skills) * Collaborates across the team.
