Graphic Designer

JANUS et Cie currently has an opening for a temporary/ full -Time Graphic Designer position. Assists as necessary with internal image editing for digital and print use; prepping new photography and editing existing images for various marketing uses, using organized layered files and carefully keeping former versions intact, following all existing image archival protocols to keep our image server and its assets organized. This position is a remote position and can be based anywhere in California.Occasional visits to our office in Carpinteria, CA may be required. Hourly rate $40 an hour

JOB DESCRIPTION

Creates still and motion graphics for website and digital outreach, digital and printed sales materials and presentations, event collateral, packaging and various other marketing materials in keeping with the JANUS et Cie brand guidelines

WEBSITE CONTENT CREATION

Imaging, graphic formatting, still and motion graphics, banner ads and other web related visuals

Digital MARKETING & outreach

Layouts and other digital correspondence from JANUS et Cie and SHOPjanusetcie.com, internal and external newsletters

INTERACTIVE GRAPHICS

Creation of animated gifs, video editing, production of interactive presentations, animated video creation

SALES MATERIAL DESIGN

Layout of catalogs, booklets, tabloids, brochures, foldouts and other digital and printed sales tools, hangtags, packaging, promotional item art layout, internal marketing presentations, anything that requires branded layout

CORPORATE & Client Presentations

Layout of corporate presentations for all sectors and locations, as well as key client sales presentations

EVENT COLLATERAL

Layout of digital and print materials for corporate events including invitations, announcements, menus, signage & image editing

SOFTWARE

• Mac OS

• Adobe Creative Suite: Mainly, InDesign, Photoshop, Lightroom, Acrobat, Illustrator, After Effects and Prelude and/or other motion graphics software

• Microsoft Suite: Outlook, Powerpoint, Excel, Word

• Box

• Basic HTML knowledge

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

In addition to being very fluent in the Adobe Suite, candidate must be

• Incredibly organized, deadline driven, punctual and self-disciplined

• Detail oriented but able to move quickly to meet tight deadlines

• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and comfortable switching gears at a moment's notice

• A respectful and loyal team player who can thrive in an open studio space working closely with others

• Able to stay calm and collected, always keeping a positive attitude and sense of humor under stress

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Writing skills very helpful but not required

• Knowledge/background in interior design, furniture or luxury brands preferred but not required
