Graphic Designer

Pay: $55,000 - 65,000 per year DOE

The Graphic Designer for Embark Behavioral Health has an integrated, critical role in upholding our high standards and brand image, positioning ourselves as best-in-class within the health care sector. This designer is responsible for managing and fulfilling graphic design requests that will drive census goals, ultimately getting clients into our facilities to receive our premium mental health treatment.

A collaborative growth mindset is critical for this role along with an ability to determine priority of projects based on census goals and overall company objectives.

The Graphic Designer represents a unique opportunity to help Embark tackle our Big Audacious Goal of leading the way in driving adolescent and young adult anxiety, depression, and suicide from the all-time highs of today to all-time lows by 2028.

Responsibilities

Develop best in class marketing materials and visual assets for Embark Behavioral Health maintaining a Sr. Level of design across the board. Design responsibilities may include print assets like flyers, postcards, brochures, business cards, as well as advertising graphics such as direct mail, billboards and more. Occasional logo designs and web graphics may also be requested.

  • Stakeholder Support: Support the outreach team and company stakeholders by developing marketing materials and keeping them up to date based on recent company and industry updates.

  • Time Management: Manage own tasks efficiently, ensuring timely completion of design projects and meeting deadlines. Check email, Microsoft Teams and Monday.com regularly for updates and project requests.

  • Assess Priority: Prioritize tasks based on importance and urgency, while maintaining high-quality standards in all deliverables. Willingness to pivot on the spot as needed if a more pressing priority arises.

  • Client and Family Obsession: Develop assets that speak to our clients and audience through and evoke an emotion of hope and empathy. Ensure all collateral is inclusive, abiding by our DEIA initiatives and best practices.

  • Project Organization: Maintain organized files and folders for all design projects, ensuring easy access and retrieval of assets.

  • Growth Centric: Identify areas of improvement in the design process to increase efficiency and quality of work.

  • Update Collateral: Update and enforce visual style guide for use by stakeholders and partners. Maintain a keen eye for industry trends and necessary improvements and updates to designs and design process.

  • Uphold Core Values: Represent Embarks core values of empathy, service, trusting Relationships, and growth daily.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five (5) years of full-time experience as a graphic designer in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • A portfolio of design work showing an array of deliverables (print, digital, social )

  • Expert-level abilities with Adobe Suite software (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)

  • Basic understanding of Canva for designing templates.

  • Demonstrated experience in typography rules and methods, and layout design.

  • Knowledge of user experience and content strategy principles.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

  • An openness to feedback and suggestions is required.

  • Degree in Design, Fine Arts or related field is a plus.

  • Educational or professional experience and/or familiarity with the behavioral health industry and terminology is a plus.

  • Experience within the health care sector is a plus.
