JOB SUMMARY

The Graphic Designer creates professionally designed materials for all CSG publications and programs - including print, multimedia & web-based materials.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Assist in the design all CSG products including magazines, logos, policy briefs, web graphics, email blast templates, CSG presentations, etc.

  • Aid in the development & implementation of CSG graphic standards.

  • Ensure all CSG products reflect organizational branding.

  • Select stock photography, type style, color palates, etc. in accordance with branding & graphic standard.

  • Ensure copyright permissions for photos, artwork, graphics, etc. have been properly secured & documented.

  • Ensure readability & functionality of produced materials.

  • Create infographics, charts, maps & tables.

  • Edit & manipulate photographs.

  • Creation of printing specs for various projects.

  • Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to visually communicate written messages or concepts.

  • Capacity to simultaneously meet multiple deadlines.

  • Ability to quickly learn/adapt to new changing technology.

  • Ability to carry out routine tasks with minimum supervision.

  • Possess excellent attention to detail.

  • Ability to handle simultaneous, multiple projects; work flexibly in a team environment and communicate in a professional manner.

  • Ability to effectively & confidently present ideas.

  • Technical expertise in: Adobe Products (including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver & Acrobat), Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari & Mac OSX.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum two years' related experience.

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Communications and Media, Marketing or related field.
