Position Summary:

We're looking for a talented designer to join our Emeryville based team as Marketing Graphic Designer. You'll work within the marketing department to provide a wide range of design support, from sales decks & collateral to display ads and will be dedicated to providing support for our External (Engagement) Marketing team.

The graphic designer is a key part of our marketing team, focused on creating a visual narrative to support our marketing, thought leadership and lead generation efforts. The designer will be focused on creation of marketing and sales materials. The assets that will frequently be created include but are not limited to white papers, infographics, print and digital ads and a variety of brochures.

The designer will work closely with marketing leadership team and Vituity's head designer to provide in-house design expertise. The designer collaborates with members of the Engagement marketing team to develop and execute design concepts across marketing channels with direction of the head designer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Execute design from concept to publication graphics and layout for print collateral, print & digital advertising, direct mail, tradeshow booths, webpages, and more.

  • Collaborate with lead designer and the marketing team through the agile process to strategize and create visual representations of written content for use in social media, print & digital collateral, web, and presentations, including a heavy emphasis on infographics.

  • Provide design support for requests from internal stakeholders including: site ads, patient and physician referral campaigns, tradeshows, annual Partnership Meeting, presentation development and practice management tools.

  • Identify project requirements through participation in planning and strategy sessions, develop design briefs/project plans (as appropriate) to record requirements and internal "client" needs

  • Explore solutions that clearly fit business and user goals under the company's brand framework.

  • Work directly with lead designer to develop presentations from outlines to fully executed presentations.

  • Ensure all design and graphics align with Vituity branding and design standards.

  • Develop and maintain corporate templates for PowerPoint, flyers, and reports, and provide training for business users on these templates.



  • Bachelor degree with 5-6 years of experience in a professional or corporate environment.

  • 5+ years of professional experience in graphic design; formal design training preferred.

  • Expert in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.

  • Expert in Microsoft PowerPoint for presentation development, including past experience working with senior level experts to design presentations.

  • Demonstrated ability to create compelling narrative arcs to engage audiences and support business objectives.

  • Extensive experience developing infographics.

  • Experience developing online banner ads including animated GIFs.

  • Familiarity with design standards for print and web publishing.

  • Quick learner, with the ability to grasp complex concepts and translate them into clear copy or graphics.

  • Detail oriented, organized and flexible individual able to perform multiple tasks with varying priorities under conditions requiring speed and accuracy.

  • Ability to establish credibility with high-level management with strong negotiating and influential skills.

  • Strong writing, research and analysis, editing, and proofreading skills.

  • Strong project management, analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively as a team member in a fast-paced environment.

  • Maturity to strike a balance between showing initiative and seeking appropriate guidance and input from others.

  • Web UI experience a plus.
