Position: Graphic Designer (Communications)

Reports to: Senior Director of Corporate Communications

With an entirely new executive team onboard, Borden is ushering in an era of rejuvenation as it looks to grow, innovate with new products and foster a People First culture. The company is seeking a Graphic Designer for the Communications team who will play a critical role in maintaining the visual identity of the New Borden.
The Graphic Designer will lead design and creative initiatives for internal communications, public relations and executive communications. This person will be able to take written or spoken ideas and convert them into creative materials that visually convey the concepts desired to achieve company goals. Designs should inspire, inform and captivate Borden employees and other key audiences.
The Graphic Designer will deliver against brand strategy and ensure continuity in the companys messaging by partnering with the Senior Director of Corporate Communications, the executive team (including the CEO and CHRO in particular), and agency partners.
This role will be responsible for creating and maintaining internal communications materials that promote employee engagement as well as public relations materials to attract interest in the company. Graphic design work will span: PowerPoint presentations, the company intranet, fliers, posters, videos, invitations, emails, the company newsletter, advertisements and more.
Note: The person in this Graphic Designer (Communications) position will work closely with the Marketing Graphic Designer to ensure brand consistency; the Marketing Graphic Designer will be responsible for designing POS materials, labels, and other customer- and consumer-facing collateral.
Creative development for: PowerPoint presentations, advertisements, the employee newsletter, social media, intranet, emails, event collateral, retail and promotional items, video graphics and more.
Ensure creative is consistent with the master brand architecture and positioning.
Work to identify and develop new methods to drive creative efficiencies.
Catalog all assets, presentations, creative, artwork, etc., in a logical and easily accessible manner; ensure assets are up to date.
Identify and address branding issues in relation to design and graphic assets.
Consistently demonstrate integrity, professional maturity, commitment and accountability.
Stay up to date with the latest trends in design, the CPG and dairy industries to keep Borden on the cutting edge of innovation.
Foster strong working relationships across the company, collaborating with the executive team, marketing, sales, communications and agency partners to ensure creative supports business objectives and is on brand.
Seek internal alignment and approvals that meet/exceed deadlines.
4+ years of graphic design experience required.
Bachelors degree required with emphasis in fine arts, design or graphics or equivalent number of years of experience, plus three years of graphic design experience.
Expert proficiency with Adobe CS, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom, PowerPoint and MS Office. Video editing, illustration and animation expertise a bonus.
Passion for thoughtful graphic design and brand building.
Experience with integrated marketing work across print, digital, social and experiential.
Knowledge of production procedures, timelines and printing terminology.
Excellent organization skills, reporting skills, attention to detail and ability to effectively collaborate, communicate and influence others.
